It seems like there are so many beautiful items to be found in the Annual Catalog that we might forget about the very BASE on which our cards can be built — in this case, the many beautiful Designer Series Papers that Stampin’ Up! carries. Affectionately Yours goes so beautifully with my favorite COPPER accents. This card, inspired by Stampin’ Pal Windy Ellard, uses coordinating colors of Watermelon Wonder and Pool Party, along with copper thread. The big sentiment is a part of the Tin of Cards stamp set — love the fun script! Notice how the paper just shines with the copper foil accents! LOVE!
Okay, I know I need to move on from the Jar of Love cards, but it’s difficult when the stamp set and accompanying thinlits are so versatile, and so darling! This set is built from a card base of Mint Macaron and Perfect Plum cardstocks. Any colors you choose for flowers will go with this warm and pretty combination. There are NO WRONG answers!
Just a few more days to take advantage of the July Free Card Kit — if you buy this stamp set and thinlits bundle, you receive the ingredients to make 8 cards from me — embellishments, flowers, paper, envelopes. You supply the adhesives and ink pads. Click on SHOP NOW at the top of this post!
If you’re feeling dapper today (I’m feeling a little warm at 90 degrees here in northern Minnesota – that’s a little hot for us!) then this color combination using the Jar of Love bundle is for you! I used light and dark shades of Dapper Denim, Peekaboo Peach, and So Saffron to create the flowers that adorn this darling jar. A little touch of Gorgeous Grunge creates the dapple color around the jar, just to give it some depth. Sometimes the white space is more desirable – it’s totally up to you!
Don’t forget about my July Card Kit, FREE with the purchase of the Jar of Love Bundle. You receive the materials, embellishments, cardstock, and envelopes to make 8 cards, 2 each of four different designs. It’s a great day to SHOP with me here by clicking on the link at the top of this post!
Okay, I promise I’ll stop posting copper cards! After this one. This color combination of Watermelon Wonder and copper embossing is just so warm — it feels like it glows! I used a Tip Top Taupe card base and then I cut the watermelon ‘flourish’ from the Flourishing Thinlits Diecuts using my Big Shot. I also stamped the flourish from the coordinating stamp set called “Flourishing Phrases” in Versamark and then used copper heat embossing powder to make it seem like molten copper. I also embossed the sentiment, from the set called “Lovely Amazing You” in copper as well. The strip of DSP is from the ‘Affectionately Yours’ Designer Series Paper group. Let me know if you have any questions, or want to try any of these AWESOME products yourself!

Weather Together — This set is going to be SO versatile, I can already tell, although I’ve barely had a chance to play with it! I decided on a shaker card, hoping for a cheery, encouraging tone to this first card. I used Peekaboo Peach cardstock for the background, and Perfect Plum to stamp with black ink for the umbrella. I used some of the fabulous sequins from the June Paper Pumpkin kit to put into the ‘shaker’ part of the card. The Designer Series Paper is from the Playful Palette series — such bright and fun designs! If you want further instructions on how to make a shaker card, just email me using the link on the right! I’d love to help you make your first shaker card. After that — believe me, you’ll be hooked!

FINALLY, I was able to crack open my Jar of Love Bundle — the beautiful Jar of Love stamp set along with the Everyday Jars Framelits Dies, both from Stampin’ Up!, of course! This card is made from a step card pattern, easily found on the Internet or Pinterest. It was a blast to make, and much easier than it looks, actually. The gold-striped Designer Series Paper on the card is actually from the Wonderland DSP from the 2015 Holiday Catalog. I wanted something with a little shine that would match the gold-foiled “Hello” message on front of the card. The cardstock colors are Peekaboo Peach and Bermuda Bay, with Very Vanilla as the background to this gorgeous bouquet. I used So Saffron, Sweet Sugarplum, Emerald Envy, Dapper Denim, and Bermuda Bay, and Basic Black ink colors. It was fun experimenting with the two-step flowers in this set. For the most part, the flowers are created the the same color ink pad, simply by stamping OFF one time for the bigger part of the flower, and then using full-strength ink for the flower accents.
I have to tell you — when I get hungry for cupcakes when I’m crafting, that’s a sure-fire sign that it’s one realistic-looking stamp! This cupcake is from the new set called “Sweet Cupcake.” I added a Stampin’ Up! Delicate White Doily and a swirl in silver foil paper from the coordinating cupcake die thinlits. OH, and don’t forget a little Dazzling Diamonds Glitter! Using Mint Macaron, Flirty Flamingo, and Chocolate Chip card stock, I’m feeling the chocolate mint deliciousness!
I’ve made another little box with four darling notecards, perfect for giving to someone who is celebrating a special day, or who just needs a little pick-me-up. I used the 2016-18 In Colors and the super fun papers from the Designer Series Paper called “Playful Palette” to create these cards. The pattern for the little box is from Susan Wong, and I’ve shared the instructions she provided on her blog below. This box should come with a warning: Can be addictive!
