The stamp set is called “Time for Tags,” and is a host set found toward the back of the new Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog.  Look at the fun designs:

Time for Tags

And here’s the punch that coordinates so beautifully!

timeless label punch

This is a punch you will reach for over and over again!  I stamped the designs on Whisper White card stock and then punched each one out with the Timeless Label punch.  I used two-inch panels of card stock in coordinating colors and used the Tag Topper Scalloped Punch to trip the top of each tag.  I used coordinating ink to stamp the background messages on each tag.  They’re so fun!

Then I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop those cute stamped images and decorated each tag with various colors of ribbon and baker’s twines, a great way to use up old ribbon and twine!

The Time For Tags set is so awesome, and can be purchased when you make an order or have a workshop that equals $150 or more.  Notice the great price!! Click on any of the wonderful products below to start shopping with me.

June Pals Blog Hop: Anything with Wings!

2019 June Blog hop 300

Welcome to the Pals’ June  Blog Hop. We’re so glad you’re here because we made some great projects using “Anything with Wings!” You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. You’ll find the full line-up below to help you move, or “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

My project is a summer sampler, and I ended up using more than one winged creature, including butterflies and a variety of birds!

Summer Sampler 2019 Real - Mary Hanson - Bird Ballad - Mosaic Mood - Colorful Seasons - Up North Stampin' - Stampin' Up!

The sampler is 9 x 9″.  I used the measurements given to me by Audra Monk the ‘Queen of the Samplers!’  Her blog site can be found HERE.   Below is a list of basic measurements.  I have also included a list of products used at the end of this blog.

Whisper White:  9 x 9″,  Calypso Coral:  8 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, Crumb Cake:  8 1/4 x 8 1/4″

Small Squares:  2 1/4″ x 2 1/4″  and 2 3/8″ x 2 38″

Rectangles:  2 1/4″ x 4 3/4″  and 2 3/8″ x 4 7/8″

You can choose to layer any color of card stock or patterned paper.  There’s no right or wrong way to create a sampler!  Let’s take a look at each corner.

Summer Sampler 2019 #4 - Botanical Butterfly - Mood Mosaic - Bird Ballad - Mary Hanson - Up North Stampin' - Stampin' Up!

The hummingbird was cut from the Mosaic Mood Specialty Designer Series paper, and the vellum flowers were created from the Perennial Essence bundle using the Perennial Essence Vellum card stock. The vellum leaves were from a Paper Pumpkin kit — I just had to use them because they were so cute!  Don’t forget about the Perennial Essence Flower Centers!  They really finish it off.

Summer Sampler 2019 #3 - Botanical Butterfly - Mood Mosaic - Bird Ballad - Mary Hanson - Up North Stampin' - Stampin' Up!

The butterflies were punched out using the Butterfly Duo Punch.  I cut out a section of the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty paper and adhered it to the left bottom panel.  I then cut out two butterflies from the Mosaic Mood paper to add a finishing touch.

Summer Sampler 2019 #2 - Botanical Butterfly - Mood Mosaic - Bird Ballad - Mary Hanson - Up North Stampin' - Stampin' Up!

The sentiment is from the Colorful Seasons stamp set, stamped in Mossy Meadow and cut with the Big Shot and the Stitched Shape Framelits Dies.  I punched the bird from the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper with the 2 1/4″ Circle Punch.  How easy, and it looks like I’m an expert ‘artist!’  Behind the circle, I arranged a bit of Old Olive thread from the Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo pack.   I stamped the birds in Memento ink and then colored them in with the Stampin’ Blends.  I also stamped three flowers and ‘fussy cut’ them, adhering them around the bird.  I attached a bow with glue dots.  A few rhinestone embellishments around the sampler, and I was done!

Summer Sampler 2019 - Framed - Botanical Butterfly - Mood Mosaic - Bird Ballad - Mary Hanson - Up North Stampin' - Stampin' Up!

I ordered the 9 x 9″ white shadowbox frame from Ikea, in case you’re interested! Samplers are a blast to create, and I would encourage you to try one.

More inspiration awaits! Use the Blog Hop Line-up below to visit the rest of this month’s Design Team. My fellow Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Don’t forget to show us some love by commenting on our creations. Mark your calendars for Wednesday, July 10, 2019 when our Hoppin’ Pals share their “Mixing It Up” projects. Don’t miss the fun!

Enjoying the Bird Ballad Suite, Part 3!

This week, I am focusing on the lovely Bird Ballad Suite from the new 2019-20 Annual Catalog from Stampin’ Up!  Friday, I posted a project using Pool Party card stock with a stamped background.  On Saturday, I used the Laser-Cut Cards and Trim.  Today, I am featuring two final cards from the Suite:

Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper - Bird Ballad Laser Cut Cards & Tin - Vellum Cardstock - Free as a Bird Stamp Set - Rococo Rose - Mary Hanson - Up North Stampin' - Stampin' Up!

Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper - Vellum Cardstock - Free as a Bird Stamp Set - Terra Cotta Tile - Mary Hanson - Up North Stampin' - Stampin' Up!

Do you see the little laser cut circle?  I simply cut the center out of one of the lovely card fronts from the Bird Ballad Laser-cut Cards & Tin.  When I put another stamped layer over the front, you can’t even tell that I cut out the little circle!

I used the 2 1/4″ circle punch to cut out the circles on both cards.  The birds are from the   Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper — all you do it cut out your desired shape — and BOOM — you look like an expert ‘colorer!’  See all the cute designs?  LOVE this paper!

Enjoying the Bird Ballad Suite, Part 2!

This week, I’ll be focusing on the lovely Bird Ballad Suite from the new 2019-20 Annual Catalog from Stampin’ Up!  Yesterday, I posted a project using Pool Party card stock with a stamped background.  Today, I am featuring two cards using a different element from the Suite:

Bird Ballad Suite - Blushing Bride - Bird Ballad Laser-Cut Cards & Tin - Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper - Mary Hanson - Up North Stampin'Bird Ballad Suite - Terra Cotta Tile - Stitched Nested Labels Dies - Bird Ballad Laser-Cut Cards & Tin - Mary Hanson - Up North Stampin'

Do you see the beautiful laser cut paper?  These are cards that come in a sweet tin called the Bird Ballad Laser-cut Cards & Tin.  You can insert any color cardstock behind the laser cut details, OR you can leave it plain.  In the top card, I used Blushing Bride, and then I used Terracotta Tile card stock.  They are accompanied by beautiful envelopes as well.

I stamped the birds and some flowers from the new stamp set called Free as a Bird in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, and then once again used the Stitched Nested Framelits Dies to frame my birds.  Love these dies! In the second card, I cut out a second shape using some of the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper and offset underneath the birds on top.

I colored the birds using Stampin’ Blends.  You can use any colors you’d like to make your cute little birdies come alive.  I could do this all day long, as I find it quite relaxing, even though I am NO expert!

Both cards feature the fun little antique-looking embellishments you see below, called Bird Ballad Trinkets.  I also used the new Very Vanilla Scalloped Lace Trim on the bottom card.  All the products I used for these projects are found at the bottom of this post!

Introducing the Bird Ballad Suite!

I have been having fun with the lovely Bird Ballad Suite from the new 2019-20 Annual Catalog from Stampin’ Up!  Many people have chosen this as their favorite suite, and people are ordering like crazy.  This week, I’ll be focusing on some cards I have made.  The first one is one of my faves!

Stitched Nested Labels Dies - Pool Party - Free as a Bird Stamp Set - Mary Hanson - Up North Stampin' - Stampin' Up!

I used a Pool Party panel on the top of the Whisper White card base.  I stamped the leaf background on the Pool Party panel with Pool party ink.  I stamped the darling group of birds with Memento Ink and then had so much fun coloring them with Stampin’ Blends!  I cut the white panel of birds out with the awesome Stitched Nested Framelits Dies.  LOVE these!

I wrapped some White Flax Ribbon around the blue panel and adhered the birds with dimensionals.  I finished off with some sequins and baker’s twine!

Did you know there is an order number so that you can simply order the ENTIRE suite??  It’s #152190.  Here is what you get in the suite!  Inside that beautiful tin is a set of delightfully detailed cards, found at the bottom of the photo.  They’re gorgeous.
