The Tag Buffet Stamp Set is darling, and can be used to create so many holiday projects, including tags, cards, and 3D projects!

I love the sentiment on the lower right — perfect for the inside of a card!

And if you’re looking for a simple way to add variety to your projects, with just a few sheets of card stock and your trusty Paper Trimmer, you can easily create three unique cards to highlight multiple stamps from this set!

For all of the cards above, you need:

  • Tag Buffet Stamp Set
  • The same ink colours (Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana, Flirty Flamingo, Poppy Parade, Tuxedo Black Memento Ink)
  • Wonder of the Season Ribbon Combo Pack (gold cord)
  • Poppy Parade card base (3-1/2″ x 5″; 8.9 x 12.7 cm)
  • Coastal Cabana Card stock (3-1/2″ x 1″; 8.9 x 2.5 cm)
  • Shimmery White Card stock (3″ x 3″; 7.6 x 7.6 cm)
  • Trimming the Town Designer Series Paper (2-1/2″ x 4″; 6.4 x 10.2 cm)

Ornament Card
Stamp, color, layer, adhere. This card is sure to please everyone.

’Tis the Season Card
No trimming necessary. Switch the orientation of the card, stamp different images, and tie a bow.

With Love Card
Trim the Designer Series Paper into two 1-1/4″ x 4″ (3.2 x 10.2 cm) pieces and cut notches into the Coastal Cabana Card stock.

Pals Blog Hop: My Favorite Season of the Year!

2020 August Blog Hop BadgeHello! Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month our Design Team is showcasing “My Happiest Season.” We hope you enjoy and will be inspired by them! Don’t forget to leave comments! We love hearing from you. At the end of my post, you will find the full line-up to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

Autumn in Northern Minnesota can sometimes be elusive.  There are years when summer seems to turn to winter way too quickly; yet, Fall continues to be one of my favorite times of the year.  I love the smells of fall, and the gorgeous, rich colors.  As a teacher of 39 years, I even still like the smell of the first day of school!

Stampin’ Up! has knocked it out of the park again this year with their 2020 August-December Mini Catalog.  The Autumn season has been royally treated, and today, I’m featuring a new suite called the Gilded Autumn Suite Collection. The colors are rich and warm, and the accompanying punch will make it a favorite, in my mind!  Here is my project:

Beautiful Autumn Suite - Rock 1 - Mary Hanson - Up North Stampin'

The Gilded Autumn Suite is a collection of products featuring the rich colors of Mint Macaron, Cajun Craze, Early Espresso, and Crumb Cake.  The suite also includes the new Brushed Metallic papers in Gold, Copper, and Brass — I love them!  Here are all the products included in this gorgeous suite:

Gilded Autumn

Check out those luscious papers with foil accents, and yes, there are punches!  I love the size of the punches– not too small, and not too large!  They work perfect with some of the papers to stamp out the images, which is what I did with all of my punched leaves and acorns:

Beautiful Autumn Suite - - Hearth - Mary Hanson - Up North Stampin'

This card was constructed in the Double Point Fold style.  There are many great videos out there to help!  I followed the famous Frenchie’s (at Frenchie Stamps) instructional video found HERE. For those of you already familiar with this fun fold, here are the measurements I used, although there are many variations:

  • Card base 5½” x 4¼”
  • Inside layer 5¼” x 4″
  • Gilded Autumn Designer Series Paper 2 panels of 3″ x 4″ scored at 1″ and diagonal at 2,″ 2 strips of 5¼” x ¼”
  • Stitched Nested Labels 4-7/8 x 2-5/8 and 4¼ x 2¼ (the biggest two sizes).
  • Punched-out leaves and acorns from the Designers Series Papers.

I used a background of Early Espresso, and a smaller layer of Mint Macaron. I then used the Gilded Autumn Designer Series Papers as instructed in the video, both as a background, and also as punched-out images.  This paper is so delicious!

Gilded Autumn Paper

The two strips of Designer Papers cut at 1/4″ by 5  1/4″ are a great way to conserve on this beautiful paper.  Adhere the two strips down the side to make it appear as if the panel is the entire width of the card!  See them at the sides of the project?

Beautiful Autumn Suite - Rock 2 - Up North Stampin' - Mary Hanson

Here’s how it looks open — I left the card blank inside for now:

Beautiful Autumn Suite - Rock - Open - Mary Hanson - Up North Stampin'Beautiful Autumn Suite - Open Flap - Mary Hanson - Up North Stampin'

The sentiment is stamped in Early Espresso on an oval die from the Stitched Shapes  Dies.  I then took all my little punched out images, arranged them, then popped on a darling Acorn Trinket, along with a bow of Linen Thread and the Metallic Ribbon that comes in the Combo Pack with the Suite.

I hope you enjoyed my Autumn Card today, created with all the beautiful products from the Gilded Autumn Suite, available NOW in the August-December 2020 Mini Catalog!  All products used in this project are found at the bottom of this post!  Have a wonderful Autumn, wherever you are!

More inspiration awaits! Use the Blog Hop Line-up below to visit the rest of this month’s Design Team. My fellow Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Mark your calendars for our next blog hop on September 9th when our theme is “It’s the Sentiment that Counts.” The Design Team will showcase a sentiment as the focal point of their project. Don’t miss the fun! Until then, please stay safe and have fun in your craft room.

A few things to know about the new :

  1. Your account information and passwords will still work with the new site.
    • Be sure that you know your current login information so that you can log in right away on Tuesday!  You won’t be able to count on Auto-Fill!
    • If you don’t know your login information by heart (or if you do like I do and have it saved to your browser so that you don’t have to remember it every time):
      • Log into your SU! account today and click on “my account” and then “email/passwords” and either record the information that is shown or, if it’s not shown, update your password and then write it down.
  2. While old bookmarks and links will forward you to the new store, your browser will see it as a “new” site. If you rely on your browser to remember your login information, the first time that you log in, it will not associate the new site with that saved information.
  3. Be sure that you see my name at the top on the right when you are shopping with me to earn my rewards and benefits for ordering! 😉

If you have trouble logging in on Tuesday:

  1. Once the new store is up and running on Tuesday, if you have trouble logging in, you can click the “Forgot Password” link on the new online store’s sign-in page and follow the steps to reset your password. The password reset email will come from noreply@info.stampinup.com. Adding this email address to the contacts list in your email program and/or searching for your email program’s spam settings can help you ensure that you receive the email.
  2. If you don’t see an e-mail pretty quickly – be sure to check your Junk or Spam folder – it MIGHT have gone in there!
  3. Should you run into any problems, there is a link in the password reset window to a page with additional information.
  4. If you have trouble accessing your account, Stampin’ Up! can also help you reset your password.  Just call them at 1-800-STAMPUP and they’ll be happy to help!  Unfortunately, I’m not able to assist with password changes as it’s a security issue for you. But Stampin’ Up! can definitely help you!

Hopefully this will be a seamless transition for you on 4 August! This new design sounds so great!  I can’t wait to see it as well!

If you make an online order for $50 or more, I will send you a bonus gift of YOUR choice of the new In-Color 1/4″ ribbon found on page 164 of the Annual Catalog.  Here’s the code:

Have a great week!  Mary
