A Strawberry Gift Jar!

Imagine these sweet little treat jars sitting at each place setting of a summer tea or coffee party, or at a 4th of July picnic! Stampin’ Up!’s Mini Jam Jars are the perfect container for candy treats, honey, or — in my case bath salts! Here is a Mini Jam Jar created with the Sweet Strawberry Bundle:

I used the Pansy Petals Designer to wrap a belly band of 1″ by 7 3/4″ around the middle of the jar. I cut out a circle from the Stitched Shapes dies to fit the top of the jar. I then stamped some cute strawberries, flowers, and leaves from the Sweet Strawberry stamp set and used the awesome punch to simply punch them out! It’s fun to use these two-step stamps….I ‘stamped off’ the solid color parts and used full-strength ink for the outline stamp. The leaves are made from the Soft Succulent Shimmer Vellum, and punched out as well! Easy!

I hope you enjoyed my project — the jam jars have so many possibilities! Please let me know what you decided to do with yours. Simply click on any product below to get started shopping with me. Now is a perfect time, because it’s Sale-A-Bration, where you get rewarded for treating yourself to all the great Stampin’ Up! products. Free products for every $50 you spend! A Delightful Jar Gift!

Are you looking for a sweet little gift to give a friend? How about your child’s teachers? A daycare provider? Stampin’ Up!’s Mini Jam Jars are the perfect container for candy treats, honey, or — in my case bath salts! Here are a couple of jars I decorated:

For both jars, I used the Pansy Petals Designer to wrap a belly band of 1″ by 7 3/4″ around the middle of the jar. On the Sunflower jar, I cut out a circle from the Stitched Shapes dies to fit the top of the jar. I then stamped and colored the small sunflower with Stampin’ Blends, and cut out with the coordinating die. The sentiment is from the Sweet Symmetry stamp set, and the tag is from the Tailored Tag dies, which I love!

On the Pansy jar, I used a large circle from the Circle dies and shaped around the jar lid. I used Tear n Tape around the edge of the lid to fasten down the circle, and then made creases to make it look like fabric. The sentiment is from the Sweet as a Peach stamp set, on a scrap piece of Basic White that I simply made angle cuts on each end. I tied baker’s twine around the lid. I fussy cut pansies out from the Pansy Petals to pop onto the top, and then added the In Color Jewels for some sparkle!

I hope you loved my projects — the jam jars have so many possibilities! Please let me know what you decided to do with yours. Simply click on any product below to get started shopping with me. Beautiful Blackberry for Fall!

One of my favorite suites from the catalog us the new Blackberry Beauty Suite, found in the new July-December Mini Catalog. The papers, the stamps and sentiments — everything is modern, fresh, and features GORGEOUS fall colors of Blackberry Bliss, gold, and Cinnamon Cider!

Thanks to Lynn Dunn at for this fun Angled Card design. I just love it — and it’s a great way to show off this gorgeous set of new papers! Here is a PDF of Lynn’s project. I adapted it by using the new DSP and adding my own sentiment area, including a tag using the Elegant Tag Punch. I also stamped a beautifully detailed bird in Blackberry Bliss ink on Cinnamon Cider card stock and used the coordinating dies to cut it out. The gold foil leaf is from the Blackberry Beauty Ephemera pack — it’s full of beautiful embellishments!

The suite features these products — I just had to have them all!

Pals August Blog Hop: My Happiest Season!

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month, the theme is “My Happiest Season. We really hope that you enjoy and will be inspired by them! As you hop from blog to blog, don’t forget to leave comments because we love hearing from you. You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

I’ve always been drawn to Autumn, which is ironic, since in Northern Minnesota, the fall season can be quite short, preempted by an early snowfall! But it’s much more than the weather — it’s the colors, the smells, and the pumpkin spice everything! I’ve chosen a project that combines Designer Series Papers with a new fall bundle, found in the Stampin’ Up! July-December 2021 Mini Catalog, called the Beauty of Tomorrow Bundle.

I started with a card base of Cinnamon Cider, scored at 4 1/4″ and 2 1/8.” I folded the short panel back to create an accordian fold on the front of the card. I adhered four panels with three different Designer Series Papers and one panel of Basic White cardstock, all cut at 2″ by 5 3/8.” Two are from the Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Papers, and one from the Bloom Where You’re Planted papers. You can see the four panels below, with the card open. The white area is for writing in, or stamping an additional sentiment.

From there, I used the Scalloped Contours Dies to cut out two panels — the larger in Blackberry Bliss, and one in Basic White, on which I stamped the sentiment from the Beauty of Tomorrow stamp set — I love these fonts — so fresh and modern! I also cut out a large detailed leaf pattern from the Beauty of Tomorrow dies in the Brushed Metallic paper — WOWZA, do I love those papers! I cut the large leaf pattern apart, and used glue dots to stick them onto the back of the two panels on the bottom, and onto the top front on the top.

After adhering the white panel onto the Blackberry Bliss panel, I popped both of them onto th front of the card base, but only the left half, with Stampin’ Dimensionals. That way, the card opens correctly.

I finished off with a bow made from a couple of strands of linen thread, and I was done! This bundle is a winner — one I’m sure I’ll keep for a long time! (But of course, I say that with all of my Stampin’ Up! bundles! LOL)

Beauty of Tomorrow Bundle

I hope you enjoyed my Autumn card! I’m already looking forward to the cooler weather that fall brings. More inspiration awaits, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team. The Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Then, please mark your calendars for our next blog hop on September 8th. Our theme will be “Focus on the Sentiment” when our Design Team creates a project showcasing a sentiment as the focal point of their project. Until then, have fun in your craft space.

Three SHADES of SUMMER with Stampin’ Up!

Just as summer has many shades, the art of papercrafting can take you in many directions, depending on your mood, available time, or where you’re at with your own crafting comfort level. There’s NEVER a wrong answer! Above are three projects using the Shaded Summer bundle, found in the Annual Catalog. The second and third project ‘step it up’ a little. See how fun!

Shaded Summer Step-by-Step
Love You Friend Card (3-1/2″ x 5″)
Create striking yet easy-to-craft cards with our Shaded Summer Stamp Set and coordinating Summer Shadows Dies (found in our Sale-A-Bration brochure!). We adhered contrasting strips of cardstock one at a time, using Stampin’ SEAL on each strip to create a stunning focal point. (Our color combo? We used Just Jade, Petal Pink, and Soft Succulent Cardstock, but choose whichever combination you love best!) Then, simply stamp the floral image and sentiment and layer them over a piece of Vellum Cardstock to create dimensional interest. Artfully arrange a few Elegant Faceted Gems on your card for a glamourous finish . . . and there you have it! Easy elegance in just minutes.
Here’s a fun technique to add to your crafting repertoire! Did you know that you can customize the color of your baker’s twine by soaking it in a little rubbing alcohol with your choice of Classic Stampin’ Ink Refill? Or you can simply color the twine using a Stampin’ Blend. Once that’s done, add depth and sophistication to your avid card by applying a little Flirty Flamingo ink to the floral image with a Sponge Dauber. We also spiced up the Vellum Cardstock piece by heat setting the Just Jade images using a Heat Tool.
Summer Shadows Dies FREE with $100 Purchase

For our most posh and detailed project, we added a few delightfully dimensional die-cuts to send this card right over the top. Stamp the floral sprigs in VersaMark ink and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder, then heat set to achieve those final, stunning touches. Gorgeous!

Shop below for these products, and don’t forget that it’s Sale-A-Bration for the months of August and September! That means for every $50 you spend, you receive a free item of your choice from the Sale-A-Bration brochure!! Catch this video!
