With the great sale going on right now at Stampin’ Up! on Designer Series Papers, I thought I’d feature a fun idea that uses the patterned paper as the BASE of the card — so when you open up the card, you can see the back side of the DSP, which is alway beautiful, too! Here are the card and the measurements:
- 12″ x 4″ Fresh as a Daisy Designer Series Paper, Scored at 5 1/2” and 11″
- 5-1/4″ x 3-3/4″ Basic White Cardstock for inside of card
- 1-1/4″ x 4″ Colored cardstock for front
- A Sentiment base and embellishments as desired.
Fold at the score lines, and then tuck in the 1 1/4” piece of cardstock at the one-inch fold. Adhere to card, and then adhere the folded flap. Add white panel to inside of card. Decorate front as desired.
I used a rectangle die from the Deckled Rectangles Dies on which to stamp a sentiment from the Artistically Inked stamp set. I used some ribbon behind the sentiment panel, and added some gems. This card goes together so quickly, and I love the concept of using Stampin’ Up!’s beautiful DSP as a card base.
