Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!

This month, the Pals have been busy creating cozy, frosty, whimsical card ideas and paper crafts for our Winter Wonderland theme — using our favorite Stampin’ Up! goodies. Each project brings a different twist, and that’s what makes the hop feel like a stroll through a creative winter village. If you’re looking for inspiration (or maybe a reason to stay inside with your craft supplies), this hop is for you!

I always think of New Year’s Eve as a sparkly affair, so I decided to create a New Year’s card full of snowflakes and sparkles!

Here are your materials and measurements:

Instructions 

1. Fold the Secret Sea cardstock along the score lines to form the card base. 

2. Layer the Elegant Pines Designer Series Paper onto the Peaceful Garden Glimmer cardstock pieces. Attach the glimmer cardstock to the front side panel of the card base and to the separate Secret Sea cardstock piece.  (See photo below)

3. Cut three layers of circles out using the Spotlight on Nature Dies. I used Secret Sea cardstock, then the silver glimmer paper, then a snowflake pattern from the Elegant Pines DSP. Adhere the circles together.

4. Adhere the Basic White panel to the inside of the card. Now you have your separate elements of this card.

5. Stamp the sentiment from the new Reason to Celebrate stamp set, available soon, on a scrap piece of Secret Sea cardstock using Versamark ink. Heat emboss using Silver Embossing Power, and then cut around it using snips. Note: This stamp set is going to be SO popular — I just love the sentiments and the fonts!

6. Adhere the sentiment onto the circle piece. Line up the separate Secret Sea cardstock piece with the right side of the card base. Add adhesive to the both sides of the circled sentiment cluster and attach to the separate Secret Sea panel.  Remember to only use adhesive on the outsides of the circle back so nothing shows when you open up the card. I used Tear n Tape to make sure it’s secure.

7. Stamp the inside of the card, making sure to get the words in the middle of the panel if you don’t want them to show from the front.

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! Ready to sprinkle some holiday magic into your crafting this season? This month’s theme, Season’s Greetings, is all about celebrating the joy of handmade creations. The Stampin’ Pretty Pals have come together to share festive cards and paper craft ideas using our favorite Stampin’ Up! products — each project designed to inspire your creativity and help you capture the spirit of the season.

For the November Blog Hop, I came upon this Double Flap Envelope card. A big Thank You to Verna Mullen of StampinNotes.com for this fun fold. Although it may not be new to you, it was new to me, and I really wanted to try it with the lovely holiday designer series papers we have in stock right now at Stampin’ Up!:

It’s an easy and fun layout, and it’s especially easy to choose one set of coordinating DSP to make the whole thing have a very unified look. Here are your instructions:

• Cut a card base from cardstock at 10 3/4″ x 5 1/2.” Score and burnish at 1 1/4,” 5 1/2,” and 9 1/2.” The folds should look like this. One of the small flaps is smaller than the other, so it tucks into itself when you fold it closed.

• Cut two panels of coordinating DSP at 5 1/4″ x 3 3/4.” I used the beautiful Traditions of Christmas, with its lovely gold foil accents. In addition, cut a Basic White panel at 5 1/4″ x 4.”
• Adhere the three panels onto your card base like this:

• Cut two squares of cardstock in the same color as your card base — one at 3 3/4″ x 3 3/4″ and one at 3 1/2″ x 3 1/2.” Cut them in half diagonally so you have two triangles of different sizes. Put the other two triangles away for another day!
• Cut two squares of coordinating DSP (in another different pattern) at 3 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ and 3 1/4″ x 3 1/4.” Cut the squares in half diagonally. Using only one of each size, adhere the two triangles onto the appropriate cardstock triangles.
• Adhere the two triangles onto the two smaller folded flaps, using only 1/4″ or less of the triangle to adhere. Tear n Tape works perfectly — stay to the edge of the triangle with it. The larger triangle should be added first, and then the smaller triangle on the second flap, as these photos show. Watch so the triangles line up as you adhere them to the flaps.

• Cut four strips of another pattern of DSP at 5 1/4″ x 1.” Take your strips and add one to each of the long blank areas, as shown below. They help to cover where the areas come together, and add a nice border to the other two sides.

• Now your card is basically made and looks like this:

• The fun part of decorating your card is next. For the front, I used a tag in Secret Sea cut from the background tag of the “Patterned Tags” Dies, along with a sentiment from the “Greetings for You” Mix and Match Ephemera Pack, some gold-striped 3/8″ ribbon, and three little gold jewels from the 2025 Advent Calendar.

• On the inside, I used another Ephemera greeting mounted on a punched out shape from the Hexagon Punch, and a stamped image on the white cardstock panel from the Joyful Tidings stamp set. Your finished card will look like this on one side:
