Join Me at Stampin’ Up!

It is a wonderful time to join Stampin’ Up! and our crafting community. We have one of the best offers of the year, which makes the starter kit even better value.

You can purchase the starter kit for $99 and choose $125 worth of any goods from our annual and mini catalog. (With Free Shipping!)  PLUS you can choose one of the beautiful bundles listed below from our mini catalog to add to your kit and even better, its FREE! Download the PDF Flyer HERE! Or take a look below!

Here’s some basic information, in case you have some questions!

WHAT IS A STARTER KIT?

The starter kit is your own choice of products from our current catalogues with a combined value of $125. You can make up your own starter kit to suit you and along with the products you have chosen, you will also receive a business supplies pack including catalogues, order forms, etc., all delivered free to your address!

WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO IF I JOIN?

The only requirement to stay active is to reach the quarterly minimum of $300 every three months. There are no other requirements. But you have so many options. It is your business, your way. If you want to be your own best customer and benefit from the 20% discount on all products, then you can. If you want to make handmade cards and sell them for profit to invest in new products, then you can. If you want to craft occasionally with others and sell some product, then you can and if, like me, you do enough business to support your own habit, doing something you love, you can do that too! All the training and support you need is available from me and Stampin’ Up! but if you are happy to be left alone to do your thing, that is absolutely fine, too.

WHEN IS MY FIRST QUARTERLY MINIMUM DUE?

If you join during Sale-a-Bration, you have until the end of January 2022 to reach your first quarterly minimum. But there is an opportunity to earn free products if you reach your first minimum by the end of December.

WHAT IF I NEED HELP?

I am here to support you and so too, is Stampin’ Up! There is no pressure or requirement to participate in our community. But if you want to meet like minded crafters, there are loads of opportunities.

For example, you will become a member of the Up North Stampin’ Team, and the Pretty Pals, a national group of demonstrators from around the country. You will LOVE the interaction, support, and love you get from our groups of fellow papercrafters! And Stampin’ Up offers virtual and in person events.

You may still have questions and I’d love to answer them for you. Please get in touch so we can see if joining is the right choice for you. Please feel free to call me at 218-280-1559 or email me at marya2hanson@gmail.com

I would absolutely love to welcome you to my team! Click here to walk easily through the process.

Pals August Blog Hop: My Happiest Season!

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month, the theme is “My Happiest Season. We really hope that you enjoy and will be inspired by them! As you hop from blog to blog, don’t forget to leave comments because we love hearing from you. You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

I’ve always been drawn to Autumn, which is ironic, since in Northern Minnesota, the fall season can be quite short, preempted by an early snowfall! But it’s much more than the weather — it’s the colors, the smells, and the pumpkin spice everything! I’ve chosen a project that combines Designer Series Papers with a new fall bundle, found in the Stampin’ Up! July-December 2021 Mini Catalog, called the Beauty of Tomorrow Bundle.

I started with a card base of Cinnamon Cider, scored at 4 1/4″ and 2 1/8.” I folded the short panel back to create an accordian fold on the front of the card. I adhered four panels with three different Designer Series Papers and one panel of Basic White cardstock, all cut at 2″ by 5 3/8.” Two are from the Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Papers, and one from the Bloom Where You’re Planted papers. You can see the four panels below, with the card open. The white area is for writing in, or stamping an additional sentiment.

From there, I used the Scalloped Contours Dies to cut out two panels — the larger in Blackberry Bliss, and one in Basic White, on which I stamped the sentiment from the Beauty of Tomorrow stamp set — I love these fonts — so fresh and modern! I also cut out a large detailed leaf pattern from the Beauty of Tomorrow dies in the Brushed Metallic paper — WOWZA, do I love those papers! I cut the large leaf pattern apart, and used glue dots to stick them onto the back of the two panels on the bottom, and onto the top front on the top.

After adhering the white panel onto the Blackberry Bliss panel, I popped both of them onto th front of the card base, but only the left half, with Stampin’ Dimensionals. That way, the card opens correctly.

I finished off with a bow made from a couple of strands of linen thread, and I was done! This bundle is a winner — one I’m sure I’ll keep for a long time! (But of course, I say that with all of my Stampin’ Up! bundles! LOL)

Beauty of Tomorrow Bundle

I hope you enjoyed my Autumn card! I’m already looking forward to the cooler weather that fall brings. More inspiration awaits, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team. The Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Then, please mark your calendars for our next blog hop on September 8th. Our theme will be “Focus on the Sentiment” when our Design Team creates a project showcasing a sentiment as the focal point of their project. Until then, have fun in your craft space.

Three SHADES of SUMMER with Stampin’ Up!

Just as summer has many shades, the art of papercrafting can take you in many directions, depending on your mood, available time, or where you’re at with your own crafting comfort level. There’s NEVER a wrong answer! Above are three projects using the Shaded Summer bundle, found in the Annual Catalog. The second and third project ‘step it up’ a little. See how fun!

Shaded Summer Step-by-Step
Love You Friend Card (3-1/2″ x 5″)
CASUAL
Create striking yet easy-to-craft cards with our Shaded Summer Stamp Set and coordinating Summer Shadows Dies (found in our Sale-A-Bration brochure!). We adhered contrasting strips of cardstock one at a time, using Stampin’ SEAL on each strip to create a stunning focal point. (Our color combo? We used Just Jade, Petal Pink, and Soft Succulent Cardstock, but choose whichever combination you love best!) Then, simply stamp the floral image and sentiment and layer them over a piece of Vellum Cardstock to create dimensional interest. Artfully arrange a few Elegant Faceted Gems on your card for a glamourous finish . . . and there you have it! Easy elegance in just minutes.
AVID
Here’s a fun technique to add to your crafting repertoire! Did you know that you can customize the color of your baker’s twine by soaking it in a little rubbing alcohol with your choice of Classic Stampin’ Ink Refill? Or you can simply color the twine using a Stampin’ Blend. Once that’s done, add depth and sophistication to your avid card by applying a little Flirty Flamingo ink to the floral image with a Sponge Dauber. We also spiced up the Vellum Cardstock piece by heat setting the Just Jade images using a Heat Tool.
ARTFULLY AVID
Summer Shadows Dies FREE with $100 Purchase

For our most posh and detailed project, we added a few delightfully dimensional die-cuts to send this card right over the top. Stamp the floral sprigs in VersaMark ink and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder, then heat set to achieve those final, stunning touches. Gorgeous!

Shop below for these products, and don’t forget that it’s Sale-A-Bration for the months of August and September! That means for every $50 you spend, you receive a free item of your choice from the Sale-A-Bration brochure!! Catch this video!

A Fall Hello Card with New Products!

I’m having fun using some new products from the upcoming July-December 2021 Mini Catalog. I also have a sneak peek of a new Sale-A-Bration product you can get for free! Here’s my card with a definite ‘fall’ feel on this humid summer day:

My card features a white A2 card base using a 5 1/2 by 4 1/4″ panel of woodgrain paper, and a 2 1/4″ by 5 1/4″ strip both from the Beauty of the Earth DSP set. These papers are simply gorgeous.

The sentiment layer is a part of the upcoming Blackberry Beauty Ephemera Pack, found in the new July-December 2021 catalog. It’s a pack full of fun add-ons, embellishments, and sentiment tags. It’s a part of a larger suite called the Blackberry Beauty Suite, and it’s all GORGEOUS! I added the sentiment, which was stamped from the retired stamp set called “Life is Beautiful.” I really just liked the cute little “Hello!” I can’t wait for you to see all the Blackberry Beauty products — coming soon!

The Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Papers are worth a look — They’re stunning, and check out all the seasonal designs and color combinations:

Celebrate the Beauty of the Earth and a Sneak Peek!

I used some of the beautiful papers from the Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Papers. They are a lovely mix of seasonal, watercolor-y papers that utilize rich colors. I also have a sneak peek of a new Sale-A-Bration product you can get for free! Here’s my card:

My card features a white A2 card base using a 2 1/4″ by 5 1/4″ strip of Beauty of the Earth DSP and a 1 3/4″ by 5 1/4″ strip of papers from the Host Designer Series Papers called Pattern Party, found on p. 171. Don’t miss this huge set of papers — they are awesome! Between these two papers I put a 3/4″ strip of the new BE DAZZLING 6 X 6″ SPECIALTY PAPER that you can earn for FREE when you buy at least $50 in product during August or September! Did you SEE the sparkle? Oh MY!!

The sentiment layer was created using the Tailor Made Tags dies — I LOVE them — they create many different-sized tags along with the darling little grommet shapes that you can put around the hole in the tag! For your info, I used the largest of the top set of tags to create my sentiment.

The sentiment was stamped from the really cute “Create with Friends” Stamp Set. I love the large scroll fonts along with the small words. You can make so many combinations!

The Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Papers are worth a look — They’re stunning, and check out all the seasonal designs and color combinations:

Pals July Blog Hop: Wonderful Cards From the Garden!

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month, the theme is “Wonderful Cards/Projects from the Garden,” where our design team showcase projects from things found in a garden, such as flowers, vegetables, fruits, or even a garden scene. We really hope that you enjoy and will be inspired by them! As you hop from blog to blog, don’t forget to leave comments because we love hearing from you. Once you finish here, you will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

The bold and bright sunflower strikes a dramatic pose in a late summer garden, sure to be noticed! My project uses a returning favorite: the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set with coordinating Sunflowers Dies, found in the new Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog. I chose to update these fun products with some bright and modern twists.

To create this project, I first embossed the front of a Polish PInk card base with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. I also cut a 1 1/8″ X 4 3/4″ panel of the “Expressions in Ink” Designer Series Paper, and embossed it with the same embossing folder, adhering it to the front of the card base. I then used a square of Polish Pink 2021-23 In-Color Shimmer Vellum to heat emboss the detailed sunflower image with white embossing. It’s hard to photograph, but the shimmery vellum and white embossing create a beautiful effect! I cut that out with the coordinating die and backed it with a sunflower die cut in basic white cardstock, to ensure a true Polish Pink embossed image. I also cut out a detailed sunflower in Gold Foil.

These detailed stamps create a beautiful sunflower image, especially when used with the dies!

I adhered the gold foil sunflower to the cardbase, and then popped the pink sunflower near the gold one. I cut out three leaves from the Sunflower dies, using a coordinating sheet of Expressions in Ink DSP — I love the gold veining! From there, I stamped a sentiment from the stamp set with a Basic White strip, and made an angled cut on each side, popping that up with Stampin’ Dimensionals as well. I used a Mini Glue Dot to add my darling Bumblebee Trinket, and I was done!

I hope you enjoyed my project! All the products used to create this card can be found below. More inspiration awaits, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team, because the Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Then, please mark your calendars for our next blog hop on August 11th. Our theme will be “My Happiest Season” when our Design Team creates a project showcase projects inspired by their favorite season of the year. Until then, have fun in your craft space.
