At a recent monthly stamping club gathering, my club members and I created a gift card holder. The card was originally created by Rose Coleman, but I used new materials to create my own version.
Measurements:
Card base: (Mine is in Fresh Freesia) 5 1/2 by 11”, scored at 3 1/2”, 7 3/4”. Fold with smaller piece (3 1/4” flap), folded in to make the inside of card, the gift card holder.
DSP: Front: 3 3/8” by 5 3/8” Inside: 3 1/8” by 5 3/8”
- Adhere panels down on front and inside.
- Punch the inside flap with a half circle punch (small) and then tape down inside flap that will be the gift card holder with Tear n Tape.
- I used a panel from the Scalloped Contours Dies on the inside (left side) of the gift card holder.
This is what the inside looks like — see Step 2 & 3:
- 4. Use 16” of ribbon to wrap around the back of the card and bring to the front.
- 5. Decorate the front of the gift card holder with a sentiment, popping up with dimensionals. I used the Beautiful Shapes Dies largest circle, and stamped a sentiment from the Layering Leaves.
Think of the possibilities with this gift card holder — any two coordinating Designer Series papers would give this an entirely different look, right?
