My OnStage Swap Card!

I had so much fun at the OnStage Stampin’ Up! convention in Raleigh, North Carolina! Out of the many highlights of the weekend, the chance to swap cards with so many talented papercrafters was right there at the top! I made 50 cards of the design below, and of course, brought back 50 beautiful cards to stare at in awe! Here’s my card:

I started with a card base of Basic White Thick cardstock, cut at 8 1/2″ by 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″. I then cut another 1 1/8″ off of the front of the card. I cut a 1″ by 5 3/8″ strip of DSP and adhered on the inside of the card at the right edge. I then took a panel of Basic White cardstock cut at 5 3/8″ by 3″ and ran it through the Cut n Emboss machine with the Exposed Brick Embossing Folder. I adhered that to the front flap of the card base.

I used the Textured Notes Dies to cut out three panels:

  • 2 3/4″ by 4 1/4″ in Pretty Peacock
  • 3 3/4 by 2 1/4″ in Wild Wheat
  • 2 1/4″ by 3/4″ in Basic White

I love the way each rectangle etches a different border pattern around the paper panels. These dies are fantastic!

I stamped the flower from the Spotlight on Nature stamp set, and a sentiment on the white panel. I also stamped a corner sentiment in the Wild Wheat panel. The Spring Corners stamp set is just delightful for adding some ‘corner’ variety to your cards – so cute! After adhering the Wild Wheat panel to the Pretty Peacock panel, I adhered them to the front of the card, but only put Stamp n Seal on one part of the panel, and then putting the panels over the edge of the front, like below:

I then adhered the sentiment panel, and put a double bow underneath the left side, using the Lost Lagoon Soft Cording.

I hope you liked my project. The card swaps were SO fun, and I got rewards with such beautiful cards to admire. It was so fun to make 50 of these, pack them up, and head to OnStage!
