Frames & Flowers: The Cutest Little Gift Cards!

This week, I’ve had such fun posting about a new set of beautiful and unique papers that are my present favorite in the new annual catalog. What is special about these papers?

  • The price is right — only $10.00!
  • There are three sheets of double-sided designs with floral and greenery designs on one side and all-purpose patterns on the other. (Bottom row of papers)
  • And it also has three sheets of die-cut greenery elements that you can use on card fronts or to frame photos on scrapbook pages. Check out the top row below!

As a fun plus, some of the die-cuts are sized to fit card fronts, making it easy to create quick, beautiful cards. So unique! Take a look — see the three sheets on the top row that are punched out designs? They’re soooo pretty!

I created a set of 3″ x 3″ note cards or gift cards — great for enclosures or quick thank-you’s! Here they are:

  • 6″ x 3″ card base of Basic White, scored and folded at 3″
  • 2 7/8″ x 2 7/8″ squares of Frames and Flowers Specialty Designer Series papers
  • Diecuts from the Frames and Flowers Specialty Designer Paper
  • Embellishments as desired

I adhered the DSP layer to the card front, then started decorating, using punched-out elements from the DSP. The sentiment diecuts are from the Unbounded Love stamp set.

Frames & Flowers, Part 2

Yesterday, I posted about a new set of beautiful and unique papers that are my present favorite in the new annual catalog. All week, I will feature some products from the Frames & Flowers Specialty Designer Series Papers. First a little about these papers:

  • The price is right — only $10.00!
  • There are three sheets of double-sided designs with floral and greenery designs on one side and all-purpose patterns on the other. (Bottom row of papers)
  • And it also has three sheets of die-cut greenery elements that you can use on card fronts or to frame photos on scrapbook pages. Check out the top row below!

As a fun plus, some of the die-cuts are sized to fit card fronts, making it easy to create quick, beautiful cards. So unique! Take a look — see the three sheets on the top row that are punched out designs? They’re soooo pretty! Here is my second project:

  • 8 1/2″ by 5 1/2″card base of Lost Lagoon, scored and folded at 4 1/4″
  • 5-1/4″ x 4″ Panel from the Frames and Flowers Specialty Designer Series paper
  • 5-1/4″ x 4″ Basic White cardstock for inside of card
  • 3″ by 3″ square of Lost Lagoon cardstock
  • Diecut from the Frames and Flowers Specialty Designer Paper
  • Embellishments as desired

I adhered the DSP layer to the card front, then added the cardstock square, as well as the DSP diecut, which I popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals — just punch it right out, and it’s so cute! Before adhering, I stamped a sentiment with the Tropical Leaf stamp set right on the diecut! So easy!

I added a little diecut flower, and then some sparkly sequin embellishments and then I was done!

Possibly my Fave New Catalog Product!

I just received a set of Designer Series Papers from the new Annual Stampin’ Up! Catalog, and I truly think this might be my favorite product.

Here is my first project:

  • 8 1/2″ by 5 1/2″card base of Peach Pie, scored and folded at 4 1/4″
  • 5-1/4″ x 4″ Pretty Peacock cardstock panel
  • Panel from the Frames and Flowers Specialty Designer Series paper (already measures 5″ x 3 3/4″)
  • 5-1/4″ x 4″ Basic White cardstock for inside of card
  • Peach Pie 3/8″ bordered ribbon
  • A Sentiment base and embellishments as desired

Before adhering the top layers to the card base, I wrapped a length of Peach Pie ribbon around the layers and tied it in front. I then adhered those layers to the card front. I punched a sentiment panel using the Hexagon Punch and a scrap from the inside of one of the wreaths of the DSP! So handy, and so pretty because it matches!

I stamped a sentiment from the Tropical Leaf stamp set onto the hexagon panel, and then popped it up using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added a couple of punched out elements from the Designer Series pages, and then some embellishments and then I was done!

One More Card Sample

Here’s another card from my last blog that features both the inside and front of

  • 12″ x 4″ Unbounded Love Designer Series Paper, Scored at 5 1/2” and 11″
  • 5-1/4″ x 3-3/4″ Basic White Cardstock for inside of card
  • A Sentiment base and embellishments as desired.

Fold at the score lines, and then fold the one-inch end around so that it will be on the INSIDE of the card. Add white panel to inside of card.  Decorate front as desired.

I used the dies from the Unbounded Love bundle to create my sentiment panel — all the dies are perfect for the sentiments in the stamp set!

The inside of the card is so cute, because it’s the BACK SIDE of the DSP I used for the card base.

This card goes together so quickly, and I love the concept of using Stampin’ Up!’s beautiful DSP as a card base.

A Latte, Anyone?

I love the “A Little Latte” Designer Series Papers found in the Online Exclusives from Stampin’ Up! I thought I’d feature a fun idea that uses the patterned paper as the BASE of the card — so when you open up the card, you can see the back side of the DSP, which is alway beautiful, too! Here is the card and the measurements:

  • 12″ x 4″ “A Little Latte” Designer Series Paper, Scored at 5 1/2” and 11″
  • 5-1/4″ x 3-3/4″ Basic White Cardstock for inside of card
  • 1-1/4″ x 4″ Colored cardstock for front OR a panel of coordinating DSP, which I used in this case
  • A Sentiment base and embellishments as desired.

Fold at the score lines, and then tuck in the 1 1/4” piece of cardstock (or DSP) at the one-inch fold. Adhere to card, and then adhere the folded flap.  Add white panel to inside of card.  Decorate front as desired.

I used the Hexagon Punch to punch out a shape from the Country Woods 12 x 12″ DSP. I stamped the sentiment right on the punched out hexagon, as well as a cute spoon for stirring. I then fussy cut out two cups of latte directly from a different sheet of Designer Series Paper. I adhered all to the front of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals and tape adhesive. I added Adhesive-Backed Swirl Dots as an added fun element. Have you seen them up close? Sooo cute!

The inside of the card is so cute, because it’s the BACK SIDE of the DSP I used for the card base. Love the coffee beans. I adhered my panel of white cardstock for writing.

This card goes together so quickly, and I love the concept of using Stampin’ Up!’s beautiful DSP as a card base. Everything you need to create this card can be found below – just click on a product to start shopping with me!

Pals May Blog Hop: Fun Family Occasions!

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month, the theme is “Fun Family Occasions.” We hope to inspire you with our creations today! You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

When I was thinking about Fun Family Occasions, a recent addition to our family came to mind, in the form of a brand new great-niece! My niece and her husband just welcomed baby Dahlia to the world, and she is a beauty! I created this card for them.

I started my project with a card base and matching envelope from the new Sunny Springs Mix & Match Cards and Envelopes set. I added a panel of Petunia Pop cardstock cut from the Deckled Rectangles Dies. You can choose which size you want to use, depending on how much of the cute flower pattern you want to have showing. After adhering the rectangle, I used the Hello and Beautiful sentiments from the new Saying Something Mix & Match Ephemera Pack. I adhered them onto the card front.

I stamped two zinnias from the Simply Zinnia bundle and cut them out using the dies, both in Petunia Pop, but one with not as much ink on the stamp. (Do you think they look a little like a dahlia?? I was hoping so for Baby Dahlia!) I glued one down, and popped the other up with Stampin’ Dimensionals, but now before attaching a fold of Silver & White Sheer Ribbon under it. I finished with three pearls from the Adhesive-Backed Pearl Trio.

If you haven’t yet said HELLO to these two gems (below) in the new catalog, you must do so! The Sunny Springs Mix & Match Cards and Envelopes are so beautiful. The backgrounds are perfect for building a card. And the Saying Something Mix & Match Ephemera Pack is one of FIVE ephemera packs that promise to make your crafting life easier. They’re great quality, and so easy to literally mix and match to create something beautiful!

I hope you enjoyed my project. Life is short, and we must never forget to celebrate all the Fun Family Occasions in our lives! All the products used today can be found below. Just click on one to start shopping with me.

There’s more inspiration to show you, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team. Please mark your calendars for our next blog hop next month, when our theme will be “New In Color Inspiration.”

Until then, have fun in your craft space.
