These Papers are INDEED Fresh as a Daisy!

I couldn’t wait to show you a sneak preview of some of our beautiful colors, along with a new set of Designer Series Papers called Fresh as a Daisy. Here is a parade of simple cards I made to show you some of these lovely color combinations. Are you ready?

Copper Clay with Boho Blue accents

Crushed Curry with Lemon Lolly sentiment
Lemon Lolly card base with Pretty Peacock accents
Moody Mauve with Wild Wheat accents
Pebble Path card base with Lemon Lolly accent
Copper Clay card base
Pecan Pie card base
Wild Wheat card base

Which is your fave paper? Aren’t they scrumptious? Each card started with a card base of 5 1/2″ by 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″. On top of the card base if a panel of contrasting cardstock at 5 1/4″ by 4″. Then I cut a piece of DSP at 5 1/8″ by 3 7/8″.

I used some of the Fancy Flora Dies, the oval punch, and just my snips to create sentiment panels. I pre-purchased two of the beautiful 3/8″ ribbons in Boho Blue and Pebble Path, and will surely purchase more of the In Color ribbons. They are SO nice to work with! The embellishments I used are from two new sets, and boy, do I love them! The 2023–2025 IN COLOR™ DOTS and the ADHESIVE-BACKED SOLID GEMS.

Tropical Leaves Bundle – An Online Exclusive with a Punch

I love a good punch, and the new Tropical Leaf Bundle, complete with stamp set and punch, does not disappoint. I created a card using this fun punch and a beautiful piece of designer series paper from the Fancy Flora set of papers.

The card starts with a card base of Soft Seafoam, measured at 4 1/4″ by 11″, scored at 5 1/2″. I then took a panel of Basic White cardstock and ran it through the stamp and emboss machine with the Subtle 3D embossing folder, and adhered it to the front of the card base. From there, I took my Stylish Shapes dies and cut some circles in various sizes using the Fancy Flora paper.

I adhered the circles onto the card front, some with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I then stamped four leaves from Tropical Leaf stamp set onto a scrap piece of Basic White card stock with Soft Seafoam. Before stamping, I also added some Evening Evergreen ink directly on to the stamp with a blending brush. It was so fun to try this! After stamping, I punched three large leaves out, using the punch, and then fussy cut one smaller leaf.

I arranged them onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Lastly, I stamped the Hello sentiment onto a small rectangle of Basic White cardstock with Granny Apple Green ink, and then cut a diagonal edge on it with my snips. I adhered that onto the card front and added a few embellishments for some bling!

The Tropical Leaf bundle is an Online Exclusive bundle, meaning it cannot be found in any catalog but can be easily purchased online by going right HERE!

I hope you enjoyed my project. All the products from this project can be purchased in my online shop by clicking on them below!

Pals April Blog Hop: Flowers!

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month, the theme is Flowers in the Garden. We hope you are inspired by all the wonderful creations the Pals share with you! As you hop from blog to blog, we love reading your comments. Then, you will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

It’s been awhile since I had taken out this beautiful stamp set, Artistically Inked, and the coordinating dies, the Artistic Dies. Honestly, I’d forgotten how beautiful the floral images are in this set! Here is my project:

This fun fold is called a Flying Seagull because of the way the two side flaps looks like wings. The instructions can be found on various websites, but I saw it on Susan Campfield’s site. These are the measurements I used:

  • TWO – Basic White card base card bases, each cut at 4 1/4″ by 8 1/4″, scored at 2 1/4″, 4″, and 6 1/4″. TWO of them!
  • Basic Gray cardstock for the front panel: 4 1/4″ by 4 1/4″
  • Gray Granite cardstock for the front panel: 4 1/8″ by 4 1/8″
  • Basic White cardstock panel for the front panel: 4″ by 4″ — this is the panel I stamped on.
  • Two outside side panels: TWO panels of Fancy Flora DSP cut at 2″ by 4″, and two panels of Basic Gray at 2 1/8″ by 4 1/8″
  • Smaller inside panels: Two Textured Shimmer paper panels at 1 1/2″ by 4 1/8″ (I didn’t use a second layer of cardstock here)

This fun fold is called a Flying Seagull because of the way the two side flaps looks like wings. The instructions can be found on various websites, but I saw it on Susan Campfield’s site.

The steps:

I stamped floral images in Daffodil Delight, and leaves in Gray Granite, most of the images stamped off once, on the 4 x 4″ white panel and added diecut flowers as well, and then ran the panel through the Cut and Emboss Machine with the Subtle embossing folder. I heat embossed the sentiment onto a small rectangle of Basic Gray cardstock, and then arranged the flowers and the sentiment on the square panel, adding a bow of white baker’s twine and Adhesive Flat Pearls.

THEN – the only tricky part is attaching the two card bases together – after that, it’s easy! First, fold both card bases like this:

Then, (above) take the two white pieces, scored, and butt them against each other. Those two folded panels, butted against each other become the base for the front square panel. When they are attached correctly, they will look like this:

  • Adhere the front square panel with your floral design using tape adhesive. Adhere the cardstock and DSP panels on each side, like this:

Finish off the card with Adhesive Flat Pearls for embellishments, and White Baker’s Twine, as you desire. This stamp set and coordinating bundle are not like anything in the catalog, and the best news is that they are carrying over into the new Annual Catalog, available on May 2 for your shopping pleasure!

I made another card without dies on the front panel, using Soft Seafoam and Calypso Coral. I love these fun colors!

I hope you enjoyed these projects, and this awesome fun fold. You HAVE to try one! All the products above can be found below. Just click on one to start shopping with me!

More inspiration awaits, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team; The Pals are very excited to show you what they’ve created! Then, please mark your calendars for our next blog hop on May 10th, when our theme will be a Tic Tac Toe challenge, where our Design Team will create projects, using elements/supplies that are three in a row, column, or diagonal from the tic tac toe board. Until then, have fun in your craft space.
