A Spring/Easter Table Favor AND BIG SALE at Stampin’ Up!

Easter is fast approaching, so I found a cute table favor that goes so well with our beautiful papers, especially the soon-to-be-retired Pansy Patch. The favors take very little supplies, and are so cute — don’t they look like Easter Bunny ears?

I got the design for this cute little treat favor from Libby Fens of libbystamps.com. https://libbystamps.com/2018/03/24/hippity-hoppy-easter-favor/. Here are the measurements from Libby:

  • Bunny is a strip of designer series paper, 1 x 12. Score at 2, 5 1/4, 6 3/4 and 10. Nugget wrap is 1 x 3.
  • Use Tear & Tape on the ends, folding in, towards the center on the ends.
  • The two center score lines, fold towards each other.
  • On one of the ends, doesn’t matter which one, where the edge is adhered, apply another strip of Tear & Tape.
  • Stand bunny up, and adhere two ears together.
  • Wrap nugget and insert in bunny base.
  • Decorate: I used the Pansy Petals DSP, and a sentiment from the Springtime Friends stamp set. I used the Small Bloom Punch to punch out the little flowers, and then I ran them through with my Subtle 3D Embossing Folder. I tied with various colors of Baker’s Twine.

Here’s what the back looks like — see the cute little Hershey’s nugget?

Any Easter or Spring sentiment is perfect, and any of the Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Papers are great.

Thanks to Libby Fens for this adorable design! Just click below to get this beautiful Designer Series Paper set before it retires!

Pansies for Spring AND BIG SALE at Stampin’ Up!

These adorable Pansies are perfect for Spring, and I think here in Northern Minnesota, we’re ALL feeling the need for some color and warmth! Take a look at these three cards for three different kinds of papercrafters!

Pansy Patch Step-by-Step
Thank You Card (4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″) (10.8 x 14 cm)
CASUAL
As one of the sentiments in the Pansy Patch Stamp Set says, “The little things you do make a big difference.” That can be true in life—and when sitting down to create a fabulous card for someone special. All the little details and love put into making your card can add up to one big hug that will make someone’s day!
To begin creating our lovely Besten Dank Pansy Patch step-ups, start simple. Fold Polished Pink Cardstock in half; add a layer of stamped Basic White Cardstock to the card front, then layer with just a few die-cut images. Notice that our artist used a Blending Brush to add subtle shading to the die-cut pansy bud. Easy to do. Fast. Fun!
AVID
We stepped up our Thank You card with tone-on-tone stamping and pops of gold for extra pizzazz. We also used a Bone Folder to curl the flower petals and give them extra dimension.
ARTFULLY AVID
To create our Mille mercis card, apply Granny Apple Green ink to the Basic White Cardstock layer using a Blending Brush, then run it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. Also, did you notice the pretty Baker’s Twine? We colored it with Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends to make it really stand out!

A Cute Easter Friend!

I’m featuring a card that will be featured in my Stampin’ Club this Saturday from a new spring stamp set in the January-June Mini Catalog. The stamp set Easter Friends is perfect for Easter and all spring long, or even baby cards.

Could this bunny be any cuter? And take a look at the rest of this darling stamp set:

Easter Friends

Love this! I started with a card base of Basic White, and then cut out a scalloped panel from the Scalloped Contours Dies using the Simply Marbleous Designer Series Papers. I then ran the panel through my die cutting machine with the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder. I mounted that on my card base.

I then cut out a tag from the Tailor Made Tags dies (the largest one), and stamped the bunny image on it in Grey Granite. I tied a double bow with some retired baker’s twine, and then adhered it to the front of the card.

I then took a scrap of Basic White card stock and stamped the “Happy Easter” sentiment with Coastal Cabana ink, and popped it onto the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added a couple of sparkly Iridescent jewels, and I was done.

I hope you consider the Easter Friends stamp set for all your spring and Easter papercrafting needs!

Here are the supplies I used for this cute card. Then scroll on for more exciting info!

One More Custom Gift Box!

I’m back today to show you one more example of a custom gift box. At a recent Pals Online Meeting, Tammy Beard, fellow Stampin’ Pal, did such a great job of showing us how to create fun boxes. This rectangular box can fit one or two of our stamp cases — how fun to gift a friend a stamp set in one of these fun boxes?

I started with a piece of designer series paper from the Friendly Hello Bundle, from Sale-A-Bration, along with a panel of Pool Party cardstock. The piece for the top was cut at 7″ X 9 1/4″ and the bottom part of the box (the Pool Party paper) was cut at 8 1/2″ x 10 3/4″. Tammy Beard gave us the tip to cut the piece for the box bottom just a WEE bit smaller than specified to ensure the lid can go on easily.

Notice Tammy’s measurements below – once the paper pieces were cut, I scored all sides: the bottom (base) should be scored at 1 1/2″ on all sides, and the top (lid) should be scored at 3/4″ on all sides.

Then some slits were cut on two sides, opposite of each other, only one-inch cuts up to the next scoreline. Here is a graphic — the dark lines are scissor cuts. Even though it’s not a rectangle graphic, the idea is the same.

From there, you just fold and burnish at all the score lines and use a strong adhesive to tape the small corner flaps inside the side flaps. So easy! Then cut out a tag from the Taylor Made Tags Dies, and stamping with Tuxedo Black ink and coloring with Pool Party Stampin’ Blends. I attached to the box and added a a wrapped band and a bow with some retired ribbon.

Here are the supplies I used for this cute box. Then scroll on for more exciting info!

Make Your Own Custom Gift Boxes!

At our recent Pals Online Meeting, we learned how to make custom boxes to fit specific gift items we might be giving. So fun! Tammy Beard, fellow Stampin’ Pal, did such a great job of showing us how to create these fun boxes. For example, I made this box that fits a roll or two of our Stampin’ Up! ribbons!

See how cute a spool of Stampin’ Up! ribbon looks inside?

For this sized box, I started out with two pieces of paper — one was the Flirty Flamingo cardstock for the box base at 6″ x 6″, and one was a piece of Pattern Party Designer Series Paper for the lid, cut at 6″ x 6″. Tammy gave us a tip to cute the base a LITTLE short of 6″ on each side, in order for the lid of the box to fit better.

Notice Tammy’s measurements below – both squares were scored at 1″ on all sides.

Then some slits were cut on two sides, opposite of each other, only one-inch cuts up to the next scoreline. Here is a graphic — the dark lines are scissor cuts.

From there, you just fold and burnish at all the score lines and use a strong adhesive to tape the small corner flaps inside the side flaps. So easy! Then I had fun decorating with flowers cut from the Pierced Blooms Dies, one of my favorite die sets! Fun — who would want this little box with a goodie inside?

Here are the supplies I used for this cute box. Then scroll on for more exciting info!

Stampin’ Up!’s Whisper White Notecards and Envelopes provide a quick and easy way to send a little day brightener to anyone who needs it. In this project, the Flowering Fields take the spotlight with some bright accents from Poppy Parade and Granny Apple Green card stock.

I started with a Whisper White notecard. I then cut a panel of Granny Apple Green at 3 3/8″ x 4 7/8″ and adhered to the card front. I cut a small panel of Poppy Parade at 3 1/2″ x 1″ and a panel of DSP at 2″ x 4″. Actually, you can make the panels as big or small as you want to!

I then stamped a sentiment from the Sweet as a Peach stamp set with Versamark onto a scrap of Basic Black cardstock, and sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, then heat embossed it. I trimmed around the sentiment and adhered it to the front of the notecard. Finally, I added a couple of retired jewels to add a little bling!

The Flowering Fields Designer Series Papers are so pretty — I love the tulips for spring! Such bright and colorful patterns!

I hope you enjoyed my project — click below on the images to start ordering!
