I had so much fun with a card design that I saw on a blog by Lisa Curcio. Even though I used a retired sentiment from the “Incredible Like You” stamp set, you can see how any sentiment would work beautifully. I love the look of the diagonal papers, and it’s so easy! Here are three different looks I did:
The card above uses the Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Papers. Start with a card base of 4 1/4″ by 11″, scored at 5 1/2″. Take a panel of Designer Series Paper of which you want to use BOTH sides. Cut it at 3 1/2″ by 4 1/4″. Cut the paper diagonally from corner to corner. Fit one panel into the bottom corner of the card, making sure the 4 1/4″ side fits right across the bottom. FLIP the other triangle, and fit it across the other side of the bottom. Here are a couple of other takes on the card:
This card uses the Best Dressed Designer Series Papers.
Here’s one with the Poppies Papers again. Once you get the card built, take flowers that coordinate and cascade them down the side of the left diagonal. Embellish, and you’re done! Here is the link to Lisa Curcio’s blog where she has a video that explains with visuals. Below are the products I used to make these cards.
