I had fun trying a new fun fold (to me!) that I saw on a post from Rachel Tessman at Stamp Your Heart Out. They are a fun twist on an easy card, but do add a bit of flare! I have included two cards here for you:
The two cards are prepared using the same measurements:
- Basic White Cardstock: 8-1/2” x 5-1/2” scored parallel to short side at 4-1/4” and at 5”
- Scrap for stamping and die-cutting sentiment piece
- Gold Glimmer Paper or Champagne Foil paper (both retired) But you can use any specialty paper!
- Designer series paper (Blackberry Beauty or Whimsy & Wonder): 4” x 5-1/2” cut parallel to long side in on the left side at ½”
The key to this design is to adhere the small scored section on the front flap of the card TO the card base. You then create a ‘bound’ effect. The DSP panels were simply adhered to the front, and then I added two layers of a sentiment panel from the Stitched So Sweetly dies using a couple of retired glimmer/foil papers. You can use whatever you’d like! Here is a view from the top:
