Aspen Tree Dies for Autumn

Yesterday, I featured my first card using the new Perched in a Tree Bundle, featuring a cute bird, beautiful leaf dies, and a background die that reminds me of our own land, filled with woods and beautiful trails. Here’s my second card, with a flavor of Autumn, which is right around the corner for us in Northern Minnesota.

I started with a Crumb Cake card base, and then ran a panel of Basic White cardstock through my Cut & Emboss Machine with the Aspen Tree Die. YUM! I then added some highlights to the white trees with a Crumb Cake Light Stampin’ Blend marker to add some dimension. I wanted a little texture for the background, so I used the backside of one of the designs from Splendid Day Specialty Designer Series Papers. I cut it just wide enough to cover all the holes, and then adhered it to the back of the died white piece. I adhered the white panel to the card base.

I had a bunch of pre-cut dies from the retired Pierced Blooms dies, so I used one for the sentiment, which I stamped in Soft Suede. Do you love the beautiful metallic leaves? I used three different foils and the dies to make three leaves. I really like the look of the mixed metals.

The dies from this bundle include some embossed leaves, a pretty branch for the bird to sit on, AND the aspen tree framed die, which I adore!

I hope you are seriously considering this bundle, as it is a keeper in my book. The supplies I used to create this card can be found at the bottom of this post.
