Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month, the theme is The Color Purple. We really hope that you will be inspired by all the amazing creations the Pals are sharing with you! Then, you will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
What fun to use all the pretty shades of PURPLE that we have in our Stampin’ Up! ink colors. I decided to focus on Fresh Freesia and Blackberry Bliss — I hope you agree that they come somewhere within the PURPLE family! I have recently enjoyed creating cards using this three-flap fun fold. It’s so easy, and yet it’s a design with so many possibilities.
Here are some details about the card:
- I used Blackberry Bliss for the base.
- Card base: 8 1/2”x 5 1/2,” score 2 1/8” from each side (turn and flip to other side—folds will meet in center like a gatefold.)
- 3 cardstock flaps in Fresh Freesia: 3 @ 3 7/8”x 1 5/8”—2 flaps will be adhered to the left side and 1 flap on the right side. Adhere the top and bottom pieces to the left fold. Adhere the middle piece to the right side of the base.
- 3 Delightful Floral DSP: 3 @ 3 3/4”x 1 1/2”—adhere these to the cardstock flaps.
- Inside white mat: 3 3/4”x 5”
I cut out a flower from the DSP to adhere. I used a sentiment from the Inked & Tiled stamp set, along with Blackberry Bliss ink, to create a small sentiment banner that I tucked behind my flower. I then used some glitter to make it sparkle! I know, I know, you’re either a glitter fan, or you’re not! I used some Fresh Freesia ink from the ink pad and ran my white baker’s twine across the ink pad to create matching baker’s twine!
I finished with some Tinsel Gems in Fresh Freesia, and I was done. All the products I used to create this card can be found at the bottom of this post. By the way, thanks to Karin Braxton for the inspiration!
Here’s the bundle with all those beautiful dies and sentiments:
I tried a couple of other PURPLE cards using the same layout:
