What a great thought, and what a great new Stamp Set by Stampin’ Up! in the new Annual Catalog!  Here’s a card I made with the “Enjoy Life” stamp set, found on page 58. By the way, do you need a new catalog?  I’d love to send you one!  Just email me at marya2hanson@gmail.com!

Do you love the silhouette image?  I think the black ink over the soft Mint Macaron is so pretty!  This simple card starts with a Delightfully Detailed Note Card with matching envelope.  So easy, because the cards are already watercolored with Mint Macaron or Blackberry Bliss — no mess, no fuss!

Because I wanted a full-sized A2 card, I cut the front off the notecard. I then used Memento Ink, which produces a sharp black image, to create my silhouette scene.  It was that easy.  Then I mounted the inked scene onto an 8 1/2 X 5 1/2″ card base scored at 4 1/4″,  of Very Vanilla.  I cut one more panel of Mint Macaron card stock at 5 1/4″ X 4″ and adhered to the Very Vanilla card base. I offset the inked panel, and then tied a piece of Mint Macaron Nature’s Twine around, forming some little knots just for fun.

I added some Faceted Dots to the bush image, and I was done!  Soft and lovely!  This stamp set has some of the most beautiful sentiments, don’t you think?  Think of all the occasions for which you could send a card with these sayings.

I wanted to post something patriotic today in honor of the upcoming 4th of July holiday.  I opened up a new product, and immediately was inspired by the beautiful wavy texture of the Ruffled Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

These special embossing folders create a deep impression into your cardstock.  I find if I spritz the paper lightly, it ‘takes’ the impression even better.  I started with a Thick Whisper White card base, and then cut a Real Red cardstock panel at 4 1/4″ X 5 1/2″.  After spritzing,  I ran it through the Big Shot — the effect was so cool!  I cut the embossed panel at 3″ and adhered that piece to the top of the white card base, EXCEPT that before sticking it down completely, I took a 1″ X 5 1/2″ strip of the Blueberry-shaded Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper and affixed it underneath the top red embossed panel.  Over that, I took part of the red cardstock I had trimmed and put it back on the front of the card.  Although I didn’t measure, it is about 3/4″ or so!  That part is up to your ‘feel’ of how much blue you want to show!

From there, I stamped the sentiment from the Detailed With Love stamp set in Blueberry Bushel ink on a Whisper White scrap and punched it out with the Tailored Tag Punch.  I put Basic Rhinestone Jewels where the little dots on the sentiment were already stamped to add some bling!  The fonts in this stamp set are so beautiful!

I popped the punched sentiment up with Stampin’ Dimensionals, and added some Thick White Bakser’s Twine around the card.  I stamped what I think it is a fitting sentiment for the 4th of July inside the card:

I’m sure you’ll agree that the 4th of July is the perfect time to realize how lucky we are to live in such a great country!

The Painted Harvest bundle has been such a popular set that, of course, it continued right into the new Annual Catalog.  Here is an updated project in soft new colors!

I used a piece of scrap Thick Whisper White cardstock to stamp some images:  Granny Apple Green to stamp two leaves, and then Petal Pink to stamp the flower itself.  (I stamped off on the background stamp of the flower, and then full strength for the second part of the flower) and then finished with So Saffron for the center. I punched the leaves out with the handy-dandy Leaf Punch, and then fussy cut the flower.  It is actually quite a snap!

 On a Whisper White base, I stamped a couple of additional leaves in Granny Apple Green, and then adhered a 1 1/4″ strip of paper from the Abstract Impressions Designer Series Papers that picked up on the So Saffron shades from the card base.  I then started to build the flower scene onto the card base.  I added a bow of Thick Whisper White Baker’s Twine, and three pearls from the “Share What You Love” Embellishments and there you have it!  I love the soft shades of this flower — what a versatile stamp set!  Clicking on any item below will bring you right to my shopping page.

The Petal Promenade Designer Series is one sheet of loveliness after another!  Look how it stands alone on this simple and elegant card:

This beautiful panel of DSP is set upon a panel of Mossy Meadow cardstock and then adhered to a Thick Whisper White card base.  The sentiment is from the Ribbon of Courage stamp set, and is inked with Mossy Meadow and then punched out with the Everyday Label Punch.  I added two Petal Pink Rhinestones (they’re sooo sparkly!), and then, before adhering, I looped some brand new Rose Metallic Thread, and placed it behind the sentiment.

This set of Designer Series Papers consist of different floral photographic designs along with soft-colored backgrounds.  The colors are yummy!

One of the most dramatic additions to the new Annual Catalog has to be the Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut Paper paired with the Delightfully Detailed Note Cards and Envelopes.  Here’s a sample!

Isn’t it elegant and delicate?  And it’s so easy and quick to build.  Here’s another version:

Let’s take a look at the products involved.  First of all, there are the notecards:

They’re pre-washed with Blackberry Bliss or Mint Macaron color on a background of Very Vanilla.  The notecard size pairs perfectly with the detailed paper, which comes like this:

Have you seen this video? It explains the special qualities of this paper and how to cut them in order to use every beautiful inch!  Watch, and prepare to be AMAZED!  🙂

How were the above cards created?  SO easily!  I cut apart the paper as instructed in the video.  They fit a 3 1/2″ X 5″ notecard perfectly.  I adhered the laser cut paper onto the notecard base using multi-purpose glue, dotted carefully around the edge.  And you’re almost there!

Then, I used a 2″ X 1 1/2″ Very Vanilla paper to create a sentiment banner.  Using the brand new DETAILED TRIO PUNCH that goes with this bundle,  I rounded two corners, and punched three ornate holes on the other two corners.  It works so SLICK — this punch is a keeper for sure!  I stamped the sentiment in the middle, and then added a couple of embellishments to each.  I placed ribbon on the back of each and popped them up.
