I am going to the wedding of a fun young couple tonight, who both love nature. We helped decorated their reception hall this morning with burlap, daisies, candles, and pieces of oak accents for the tables. Fun, huh?
So I knew I needed to make a special wedding card for them! I used the Rooted in Nature bundle from the new Stampin’ Up Annual Catalog. Have you seen the beautiful natural stamps and dies? There is no limit to the occasions you could address with this bundle!
Here is the card I came up with, and it was SUCH fun to create!
I used a card base of Very Vanilla card stock, and then cut a 5 1/4″ x 4″ panel and ran it through the Big Shot using the Woodland Textured Embossing folder. I cut a panel of Very Vanilla at 3 1/4″ x 4″ and then a panel of Tranquil Tide to fit behind that exactly 1/8″ larger. On the Vanilla panel, I stamped large and small leaves from the stamp set, stamping off twice before adding them to the panel.
I used the framelits to create the leaves, a large and small, by first running them through the Big Shot with the embossing dies, and then running them through with the cutting dies. Don’t you love the effect? I stamped the sentiment on a circle from the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies, and then put the card together. Do you like the natural effect of the burlap ribbon and linen thread? LOVE these colors together!!
