Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month, the theme is “Home for the Holidays.” We really hope that you will be inspired by all the amazing creations the Pals are sharing with you! Then, you will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
Home for the Holidays evokes such a peaceful and wintery feeling for me. So I chose the Classic Christmas bundle with the gorgeous and shiny Snowflake Magic Specialty Designer Paper to create a ‘magical’ winter holiday feel.
This fun fold is very simple. I got the inspiration from Sue Stampfield. Here are the measurements:
Lost Lagoon cardstock 4-1/4” x 11” scored at 2-3/4” and 5-1/2”
Snowflake Magic DSP 2-1/2” x 4”
Winter Meadow DSP 4” x 4”
Lost Lagoon cardstock 2-1/2” x 2-1/2”
Basic White cardstock 2-1/2” x 4” Inside piece
I scored the card base to form a “Z,” like the photo above. I attached the Snowflake DSP panel to the front of the card. I used the Cut and Emboss machine to cut the square ornate pattern out using the Winter Meadow DSP. I also cut a square using the Lost Lagoon cardstock and a different die from the bundle.
I heat embossed a sentiment from the stamp set using white embossing powder. I used dimensionals to attach the Lagoon square to the ornate piece, and then used tape adhesive to attach ONE HALF ONLY of the diecut piece to the front panel.
I stamped on the inside white panel before adhering it to the inside of the card, making sure it wouldn’t show when the card is closed.
I added an embellishment to the front, and I was done!
The Snowflake Wonder Specialty DSP and the Classic Christmas Bundle are two of my favorite products from the Current Mini Catalog.

The “Love of Autumn” Designer Series Papers easily create gorgeous cards for so many occasions. Take a look at this card I made for my husband’s birthday with these papers and the Deckled Circles dies:
I started with a card base of Copper Clay cardstock at 8 1/2″ by 11″, scored at 4 1/4″. I also cut a panel of Copper Clay at 5 1/4″ by 4″ and ran it through my cut & emboss machine with the Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder. Before I adhered it to the card front, I wrapped a strip of ribbon and attached it to the back of the panel with adhesive tape.
I used a Deckled Circle die to cut a beautiful scene out of the All About Autumn Designer Series Papers and adhered it to the card front. The Deckled Circle Dies are sooo fun to used for so many purposes. Look how many the set comes with!
I then cut leaves out of the Copper Oxidized papers from the Autumn Leaves Bundle and attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I also used Very Vanilla cardstock and stamped a Happy Birthday Sentiment from the Something Fancy stamp set in Copper Clay ink. I added to the front, along with an embellishment, and I was done! I love the combination of all these beautiful products!

The August-December Mini Catalog from Stampin’ Up! does NOT contain just holiday products. On p. 63, you’ll find a real treasure – the Deckled Circles Dies are going to be a staple in many craft rooms. There are so many of them, you can find one for any sized circle you’re looking for! Just look at them all!
Not only can you create deckled circles for sentiments and other purposes, you can actually make a CARD out of the circles dies! Thanks to Mary Fish for the inspiration!
Start with a piece of cardstock, cut at 5 1/2″ by 11″ and scored at 5 1/2″, so it’s a square card. You must obviously leave a fold portion as you cut with a circle die, so take a deckled circles die that’s almost as big as the square. Center the Circles Die over the square, and then pull it back so the FOLD side of the card is slightly inside the circle die, so about two inches of the fold will NOT get cut by the circle die. This will leave you with a folded side.
I then cut a smaller Deckled Circle die of Garden Walk DSP and adhered it to the card front.
I also cut a Basic White circle layer for the inside of the card. Now you will just decorate as you wish! I heat embossed the sentiment from Layering Leaves stamp set onto Pecan Pie cardstock. I used the bough punch to punch out various leaves to tuck underneath the sentiment, and then cut a strip of coordinating Garden Walk DSP. Isn’t it pretty?
