Stampin’ Up! has always come through with beautiful floral bundles, and the new Two-Tone Floral bundle in the January-June Mini Catalog is no exception! Florals are perfect for so many occasions, like this soft sympathy card that I just created.
I started with a card base of Balmy Blue measured at 8 1/2″ by 11″, scored at 4 1/4″. I then ran a panel of Fresh Freesia, 4″ by 5 1/4″ through the Cut & Emboss machine with the Subtle Dynamic Embossing folder. I cut a strip of Fancy Flora 6″ by 6″ Designer Series paper and adhered all the layers together.
I stamped flowers from the Two Tone Flora stamp set with Orchid Oasis, Fresh Freesie, and Pale Papaya, as well as leaves in Granny Apple Green.
I also cut out a panel of Vellum Card Stock and Basic White in the sentiment diecuts of the Something Fancy Dies. I stamped a sentiment in Orchid Oasis ink. I added some Pastel Adhesive Backed Sequins, and I was done!

I am on a roll with projects using the gorgeous Delicate Desert Suite Collection. Today, another project from this beautiful collection of products:
The Dry Brushed Metallic Specialty DSP is the star of the show on this card. It is beautiful, and brand new in the January-April Mini Catalog. It comes in two colors. I used one of the dies from the bundle to cut out a beautiful shiny layer along with a die that looks like a desert succulent, and one die to cut a bigger layer from one of the Delicate Desert DSP. I love the little cutout details — aren’t they so cool? I also cut out one geometric shape die for the sentiment and used Cajun Craze ink for that. Other measurements:
Then I just assembled all the layers. Because the Dry Brushed Metallic paper is sooo pretty by itself, I didn’t use any other embellishments. This would be an easy card to send in the mail for any occasion!

I recently posted about a new bundle with stamps and dies that bring us the style and images of the Southwest. Today, another project from this beautiful collection of products:
I focused on one diecut from the bundle — this geometric shape – to create a patchwork of pattern that sweeps across my card. Here are some measurements for you:
Taking the Gray Granite layer by itself, I started by cutting multiple shapes from different pieces of Designer Series Papers. I adhered them onto the panel making them appear as if they were locked together. Then before I adhered to the card base, I trimmed all the patterns that went over the edge of the panel with my snips. Then I used my tape adhesive to adhere to the card base.
I cut out a circle die and then stamped a sentiment in Cajun Craze ink. I also cut out a strip from the Dry Brushed Metallic Specialty Designer Series Paper, and trimmed to 2″ or so. I adhered it to the paper, and the put the circle on top, using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I finished with some Pastel Adhesive Backed Sequins. The Delicate Desert papers are a mix of patterns and warm desert colors, including Gray Granite, Cajun Craze, Soft Succulent, and Pale Papaya. The possibilities are endless with bundle, as you will see over the next week as I share more samples!

My husband and I visited Arizona last November for the first time, and fell in love with it; in fact, we’re returning for a month in February/March! I had time to play with the new Desert Details bundle yesterday, so I created one more slimline card (see my last post) using these beautiful products with a Southwestern flair.
Do you love our vase? We purchased this in Scottsdale last November. It is horsehair pottery. The hair of a horse’s mane is fired in a kiln along with the clay. We just loved it, so it had to come home with us. Here are some measurements for you:
Basic White Card Base: 8 1/2″ by 6″, scoring the 6″ side at 3″,
Colored Cardstock panel: 8 3/8″ by 2 7/8″
Designer Series Paper panel: 8 1/4″ by 2 3/4″
Once I got all the base layers adhered, I just had to build my card front as shown. I stamped two flowers with Cajun Craze ink on Basic White cardstock, as well as one of the sentiments from the stamp set onto a diecut circle. I also cut a narrow band of cardstock about 1/4 inch or so by 3″, and three patterned Southwestern-y diecuts in three different patterns from the DSP.
I trimmed excess papers off the side, and then added some Festive Pearls in metallic silver and some Linen Thread.
The Delicate Desert papers add such beauty to these cards. I love the warm colors of Gray Granite, Cajun Craze, Soft Succulent, and Pale Papaya. The possibilities are endless with bundle, as you will see over the next week as I share more samples!

I needed a slimline card to send some embellishments, so I decided to create one with some new papers. The Flowers & More Designer Series Papers. I created two cards using these papers, both with the same basic layout:
Aren’t these papers fun? And that’s just the start. These papers are available during Sale-A-Bration when you host a party or make an online order of $150 or more. It’s a huge collection of fun papers with bright and springy colors. There are 48 sheets of patterned paper: 4 each of 12 double-sided designs.
Both the cards are based on the same measurements. All you have to do is change the colors and the sentiment, and you’ve got beautiful cards for any occasion. Here are some measurements for you:
Basic White Card Base: 8 1/2″ by 6″, scoring the 6″ side at 3″,
Colored Cardstock panel: 8 3/8″ by 2 7/8″
Designer Series Paper panel: 8 1/4″ by 2 3/4″
After assembling the card base and two additional layers of paper, I cut out some sentiment dies from the Something Fancy Dies in Shaded Spruce, and Basic White. I used a little scrap of Tahitian Tide cardstock to back the cute little Tulip cut-outs on larger diecut. I then stamped on the sentiment pieces with stamps from the Desert Details and Season of Chic stamp sets. I finished these simple cards with some Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins.

The Dandy Designs patterned papers from Stampin’ Up! are FREE with your order of $100 or more, and they are fantastic! The spring-like colors and patterns are perfect for Easter, spring, birthday, you name it! I created two cards using these papers, both with the same basic layout:

Both the cards are based on the same measurements. All you have to do is change the colors and the sentiment, and you’ve got beautiful cards for any occasion.

Card Base: 8 1/2″ by 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
Layer 2 (colored cardstock): 5 1/4″ by 4″
Basic White cardstock layer: 5 1/8″ by 3 7/8″
Designer Series Paper layer: 3 1/4″ by 3 1/2″ (You can make this layer larger or smaller if you’d like!)
I then used a Scalloped Contours die to cut two cardstock panels, one in Calypso Coral, and one in Coastal Cabana. I used the Beautiful Shapes Dies to cut out a circle and a hexagon in a different patterned paper. One sentiment panel is cut from the Scalloped Contours dies, and one from the Beautiful Shapes dies. Use any sentiment that you’d like! Mine are from the Framed Florets and Something Fancy stamp sets.

I have a loooong wish list for the beautiful new January-April Mini Catalog, and have made an initial order, with many more to come! Today I’m featuring a Double Gate Fold card using these papers:
The card opens up in the middle to reveal a middle area for the inside sentiment.
Here are the measurements:
Evening Evergreen Card Base: 5 1/2 by 11, scored at 1 1/4, 3 3/8, 7 5/8, 9 3/4
Two panels of DSP for the front side panels: 1 1/8″ x 5 3/8″
Two panels of DSP for the back side panels: (shown in Calypso Coral pattern) 1 7/8″ x 5 3/8″
Inside Basic White Panel for the sentiment: 5 1/4″ x 4″
Front Sentiment Diamonds: Larger in Evening Evergreen, Smaller in Basic White cardstock, cut from two square dies, Stylish Shapes Dies
Directions: Cut and score the Evergreen card base panel, folding it like the photo below. Adhere the DSP onto the side panels as shown. I stamped the inside Basic White panel before adhering that to the inside of the card.
I cut out the two square diecuts from the Stylish Shapes Dies using the Cut & Emboss machine, one with Basic White, and one with Evening Evergreen cardstock. I stamped the sentiment in Evening Evergreen using the Framed Florets stamp set. Adhere the Basic White to the colored diamond panel, and then adhere to the front of the card, using Stampin’ Dimensionals on the LEFT SIDE of the diamond only so it can open and close freely.
I fussy cut the front flowers and leaves from the Favored Flowers DSP, and then adhered to the diamond, along with a few Elegant Facet Gems.
Be sure to get these papers SOON — their lovely colors, floral patterns, and the fact that they coordinate with the Fragrant Flowers bundle means they’ll be going fast!

You can then choose to either stamp your sentiment right on the Designer Series Paper layer, or add a sentiment layer of your own.
The Fancy Flora Designer Series Papers are some of the most striking that I have seen in a long time! The colors are rich, and the texturing makes the papers feel three dimensional.
