We recently had a Birthday card swap, and this is the card I made:

The card I created is actually a CASE from my upline, Mary Fish, using one of her sketches.

DIMENSIONS:

• Basic White Thick Card Stock:
  • Card Base – 4 1/4 x 9. Scored at 5 1/2
• Evening Evergreen Card Stock:
  • Layers – 3 1/4 x 4 (left), 1 3/4 x 4 (right)
  • Die-cut Layer – 4 x 1 1/2 (before cropping)
• Favored Florals Designer Series Papers:
  • Layers – 3 x 3 3/4 (left), 1 1/2 x 3 3/4 (right)
  • Envelope Flap – 5 3/4 x 2 1/4
• Basic White Card Stock:
  • Stamped Die-Cut Layer – 3 1/4 x 2 (before cropping)

This card goes together quickly. Starting with your card base, just add your layers of DSP. Stamp your sentiment on the Basic White paper, and diecut as you desire. TIP: As you build your layers, and you are ready to add your sentiment, be sure to adhere the sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals ONLY on the left side of the sentiment panel so it opens properly .

Hello, All! It’s Cold COLD in northern Minnesota for a few days, so I pulled out a new stamp featured in the January-April Mini Catalog: Covered In Sunshine. It has three unique large stamp sentiments that make card making easy.

I started with a card base of Orchid Oasis measured at 8 1/2″ by 11″, scored at 4 1/4″, followed by a layer of Old Olive at 4″ by 5 1/4″ and then a panel of the new Dainty Flowers DSP, cut at 3 7/8″ by 5 1/8″.

I stamped some florals from the bundle in Bumble Bee and Orchid Oasis inks. These are two-step floral stamps, so I stamped one layer of ink OFF before stamping onto the Basic White paper for each flower, then came back with a full stamp of the same color to add the dark accents. I also stamped and cut some leaves in Old Olive, along with the flowers.

I stamped one of the large sentiments right onto the DSP in Orchid Oasis ink. Aren’t these the coolest large stamped images? SO unique!

I added some Festive Pearls, and I was done! I love the instant background I could create with this Designer Series Paper!

Hello, Stampin’ Friends! Today I’m featuring another project using the new Two-Tone Floral bundle in the January-June Mini Catalog, along with a beautiful sentiment and label die from the Something Fancy bundle. Don’t you love this sentiment?

I started with a card base of Old Olive measured at 8 1/2″ by 11″, scored at 4 1/4″, followed by a layer of Bumble Bee at 4″ by 5 1/4″ and then a panel of the new Dainty Flowers DSP, but at 3 7/8″ by 5 1/8″.

Stampin’ Up! has always come through with beautiful floral bundles, and the new Two-Tone Floral bundle in the January-June Mini Catalog is no exception! Florals are perfect for so many occasions, like this soft sympathy card that I just created.

I started with a card base of Balmy Blue measured at 8 1/2″ by 11″, scored at 4 1/4″. I then ran a panel of Fresh Freesia, 4″ by 5 1/4″ through the Cut & Emboss machine with the Subtle Dynamic Embossing folder. I cut a strip of Fancy Flora 6″ by 6″ Designer Series paper and adhered all the layers together.

I stamped flowers from the Two Tone Flora stamp set with Orchid Oasis, Fresh Freesie, and Pale Papaya, as well as leaves in Granny Apple Green.

I also cut out a panel of Vellum Card Stock and Basic White in the sentiment diecuts of the Something Fancy Dies. I stamped a sentiment in Orchid Oasis ink. I added some Pastel Adhesive Backed Sequins, and I was done!

I am on a roll with projects using the gorgeous Delicate Desert Suite Collection. Today, another project from this beautiful collection of products:

The Dry Brushed Metallic Specialty DSP is the star of the show on this card. It is beautiful, and brand new in the January-April Mini Catalog. It comes in two colors. I used one of the dies from the bundle to cut out a beautiful shiny layer along with a die that looks like a desert succulent, and one die to cut a bigger layer from one of the Delicate Desert DSP. I love the little cutout details — aren’t they so cool? I also cut out one geometric shape die for the sentiment and used Cajun Craze ink for that. Other measurements:

• Cajun Craze Card Base: 8 1/2″ 11″, scored at 4 1/4″
• Gray Granite cardstock panel: 5 1/4″ by 4″

Then I just assembled all the layers. Because the Dry Brushed Metallic paper is sooo pretty by itself, I didn’t use any other embellishments. This would be an easy card to send in the mail for any occasion!
