We are currently traveling in the Southwest for a month, and we’re loving the beautiful colors and plants of the areas. After five days in Tulsa, we spent four days in Sedona. My favorite parts were the hikes into the foothills!
My project for today uses the beautiful Desert Details bundle:
I started with a card base of Gray Granite at 8 1/2″ by 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″. I then added a panel of Cajun Craze cut at 4″ by 5 1/4″. I used the diecuts and a piece of the Delicate Desert DSP to make the next layer. The details in the diecuts are amazing!
I then stamped two desert flowers with Cajun Craze and Soft Succulent ink and cut them out with the coordinating dies. I also stamped one of the beautiful sentiments in Soft Succulent, and then cut out with a die from the Something Fancy dies. I assembled the pieces onto the card front with adhesive tape and Stampin’ Dimensionals. I finished off with a few Pastel Self-Adhesive Sequins and a bow of the Flirty Flamingo Metallic Ribbon.
The Desert Details Bundle is simply gorgeous – add them to the beautiful papers, and you have a winning and warm combination.

I love the new Ginkgo Branch Bundle from the Stampin’ Up! mini catalog. With the dies and two of the beautiful sentiments, I created these two notecards:
I started with a Basic White notecard and a piece of Fancy Flora 6 x 6″ Designer Series Paper, cut to the notecard’s dimensions of 5″ by 3 1/2″, adhered to the front of the card. Notice I made one vertical and one horizontal in design.
I then cut two ginkgo diecuts in two different colors of the gorgeous Fine Shimmer paper. From there, I stamped two of the pretty sentiments from the stamp set onto scraps of Basic White cardstock. I cut them using the diecut.
I adhered the ginkgo diecuts, and then popped up the sentiment panels with Stampin’ Dimensionals. From the leftover DSP, I put adhesive on two envelope flaps, and then adhered the two DSP scraps onto the flaps. I trimmed the DSP to fit the flaps, adding an extra bit of beauty to the cards.

We recently had a Birthday card swap, and this is the card I made:
The card I created is actually a CASE from my upline, Mary Fish, using one of her sketches.
DIMENSIONS:
Basic White Thick Card Stock:
Card Base – 4 1/4 x 9. Scored at 5 1/2
Evening Evergreen Card Stock:
Layers – 3 1/4 x 4 (left), 1 3/4 x 4 (right)
Die-cut Layer – 4 x 1 1/2 (before cropping)
Favored Florals Designer Series Papers:
Layers – 3 x 3 3/4 (left), 1 1/2 x 3 3/4 (right)
Envelope Flap – 5 3/4 x 2 1/4
Basic White Card Stock:
Stamped Die-Cut Layer – 3 1/4 x 2 (before cropping)
This card goes together quickly. Starting with your card base, just add your layers of DSP. Stamp your sentiment on the Basic White paper, and diecut as you desire. TIP: As you build your layers, and you are ready to add your sentiment, be sure to adhere the sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals ONLY on the left side of the sentiment panel so it opens properly .

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month, our blog hop theme made projects to celebrate Random Acts of Kindness Week, which is February 14-20! We hope you will be inspired by all the beautiful creations the Pals made for you! As you hop from blog to blog, we would love for you to leave a comment. Today I am sharing two projects that could be used for someone special as a Random Act of Kindness next week or any week! I made one card, and a coordinating treat box:
Our Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog is chock full of great card designs, and my project today is a great example of taking a card from the catalog and making it your own. I was inspired by the layout of this card on page 81. I especially liked the different-sized panels created from the Deckled Rectangles dies.
For the card, I started with a card base of Basic White measured at 8 1/2″ by 11″, scored at 4 1/4″, followed by a layer of Highland Heather of 5 1/2″ by 4 1/4″, embossed with the Cane Weave 3D embossing folder. I adhered that embossed panel to the card base. I then used different sized Deckled Rectangle Dies to cut out panels using these papers (L to R): Orchid Oasis, Fine Shimmer Paper in Fresh Freesia, Fancy Flora DSP, and then Fine Shimmer DSP again. You can make the panels whatever size you’d like. I tried to emulate the panels in the same layout as the card in the catalog.
Next I cut a panel of Basic White Cardstock from the Deckled Rectangle Dies, and stamped the sentiment with Orchid Oasis. I also stamped one of the smaller flowers in Orchid Oasis, and one bunch of the cute tiny flowers in Balmy Blue. On a scrap of Basic White, I stamped a large flower in Fresh Freesia, and used the Two-Tone Flora dies to cut out the large flower, arranging it on the sentiment panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added three Pastel Adhesive Backed Sequins to the little flowers, and I was done!
There are so many beautiful elements to this card, I can’t even! To start with, the Fine Shimmer Paper is GORGE! And the Fancy Flora DSP is probably my favorite patterned paper in the Mini Catalog.
For the Sweet Little Box, (in the CLEARANCE RACK at time of publication!) I first assembled the box and closed it. I cut a 6 X 6″ piece of Fancy Flora Designer Series Papers in half to create two 3″ by 6″ panels. I used Tear and Tape to attach the two pieces end to end to make one long piece. From there, I cut the entire piece at 7 1/4″, cutting from each end so I could make the seam somewhere in the middle, then wrapped the panel around the Sweet Box, creasing around each corner as I wrapped.
I then decorated the box using some additional flowers from the bundle, as well as a sentiment panel from the new Thanks a Bunch SAB stamp set that I cut into a banner, and some Orchid Oasis 1/8″ Woven Metallic Ribbon. Now I can either give the card and box as a set, or I could give two separate surprises to two different people as Random Acts of Kindness!

I needed a birthday card for my oldest daughter, who happens to have an Art degree. I wanted my card to be special and elegant. Here’s what I created with a mix of older and brand new products:
I started with a card base of Basic White measured at 8 1/2″ by 11″, scored at 4 1/4″. I cut a layer of Basic White at 4″ by 5 1/4″ and then cut a Deckled Rectangle out of the panel. I then stamped a sentiment from the Blessings of Home stamp set, and ran the single panel through the Cut & Emboss machine with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder to give it some pretty texture.
I cut two flowers from the Meadows dies with the beautiful new Fine Shimmer Specialty Paper. I LOVE it! I then cut a panel of the Fancy Flora Designer Series Paper at 2 1/2″ by 3 3/4″. I fit the two shimmer flowers behind the frame the way I wanted them (I actually trimmed one) and used glue dots to fix them to the back of the frame. Then I attached the panel of DSP to the back of the frame.
I then popped up the whole frame piece with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added some Pastel Iridescent Gems, and I was done. Think of the possibilities with these beautiful papers and the Meadows Dies. You could do all kinds of combinations.
In fact, I created another card with a different color scheme. This time, I stamped right on the DSP for a different look:

Hello, All! It’s Cold COLD in northern Minnesota for a few days, so I pulled out a new stamp featured in the January-April Mini Catalog: Covered In Sunshine. It has three unique large stamp sentiments that make card making easy.
I started with a card base of Orchid Oasis measured at 8 1/2″ by 11″, scored at 4 1/4″, followed by a layer of Old Olive at 4″ by 5 1/4″ and then a panel of the new Dainty Flowers DSP, cut at 3 7/8″ by 5 1/8″.
I stamped some florals from the bundle in Bumble Bee and Orchid Oasis inks. These are two-step floral stamps, so I stamped one layer of ink OFF before stamping onto the Basic White paper for each flower, then came back with a full stamp of the same color to add the dark accents. I also stamped and cut some leaves in Old Olive, along with the flowers.
I stamped one of the large sentiments right onto the DSP in Orchid Oasis ink. Aren’t these the coolest large stamped images? SO unique!
I added some Festive Pearls, and I was done! I love the instant background I could create with this Designer Series Paper!

I started with a card base of Old Olive measured at 8 1/2″ by 11″, scored at 4 1/4″, followed by a layer of Bumble Bee at 4″ by 5 1/4″ and then a panel of the new Dainty Flowers DSP, but at 3 7/8″ by 5 1/8″.
