My love affair with the SNOWMEN continues! I can’t get enough of these cute little guys! I CASED the new Holiday Catalog to make this card:

My card was built on a card base of Garden Green cardstock with an added strip of the new Santa’s Workshop Designer Series paper. Did you know it’s FUZZY? So cute and holiday-like! It reminds me of my childhood.

Here’s a closeup of this fun stamp set!

I then stamped the snowman couple in Memento Ink Tuxedo Black (recommended when using the Blends!) I colored some aspects with Pool Party, Real Red, and Garden Green. You can do as little or as much as you’d like. I also took a small paintbrush and painted some Frost White Shimmer Paint on the snow they’re standing on. I LOVE the edges of these stamps — kind of like a pencil drawing, or watercolor! So sweet and whimsical!

Then I cut my snow couple out using the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies and my Big Shot. I put it all together with some ribbon and baker’s twine, and added a few sequins and a cute paper clip. You can do so many things with this set — it’s all about having fun! All the products I used are below — shop with me today so you can start BUILDING SNOWMEN yourself!

Warm Heart, Cold…Snowmen?

I know it’s not ‘snowman’ time, but I couldn’t resist playing with the new stamp set called “Spirited Snowmen.” Prior to this, I didn’t own a snowman set, so it was a delight to finally see one in the new catalog! Here’s my first ever card!

Is that snowman not the CUTEST thing you’ve ever seen? Here’s the stamp set:

To create this card, I started with a card base of Whisper White Thick card stock. I cut a panel from the Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Papers cut to 2 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ inches, and adhered that to the base.

I stamped the snowman image with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a scrap of Whisper White Thick cardstock and colored it with Old Olive, Crumb Cake, and Real Red Stampin’ Blends. Fun, fun! From there, I used my Big Shot to cut Mr. Snowman out using the Stitched Shapes Framelits dies. I used my Aqua Painter and dipped the brush into the cap of my Winter White Shimmer Paint and painted a little glimmery shadow on the snowman and topped it off with three Basic Rhinestones.

Finally, I stamped the little holly stamp on a scratch piece of Whisper White cardstock, colored it and cut it out with my snips. I attached it with a glue dot and then tied three strands of Linen Thread together to adorn the greenery, attached with a glue dot as well.

September Pal’s Blog Hop – My Favorite Season!

Welcome to the Pals September 2018 Blog Hop. The 2018 Holiday Catalog from Stampin’ Up! is out and the Pals are excited! Sit back while we share creations from “Our Favorite Holiday.”

You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. You’ll find the full line-up below to help you move, or “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

My card reflects the love I have for my favorite season: Fall! Living in Northern Minnesota, I love watching the leaves change and the colors turn to rich oranges, yellows, and burgundies. I also love the First Frost bundle, so I thought there MUST be a way to combine my love of Autumn with this beautiful stamp set and dies to create a lovely fall bouquet.

My card started with a card base of Crumb Cake. I added a panel of Country Lane Designer Series Paper (the one with the wood grain) measuring 4″ x 5 1/4″. I then took my new Frost White Shimmer Paint (fresh from the Holiday Catalog) and put a dime-sized amount on a clear acrylic block. I then stamped the leaf-shaped stamp from Colorful Seasons into the shimmer paint on the block, making sure it was coated evenly. Then I stamped some leaf patterns onto the wood-grained paper. It’s beautiful and shimmery in person! There is also a new Rich Copper Shimmer Paint that I don’t have yet — think how beautiful that would be on this fall card! Try it out!

Next, I stamped some flowers from the First Frost stamp set onto Thick Whisper White card stock. You can build any bouquet you’d using the fall colors of your choice! I used Mango Melody, Pumpkin Pie, and Cajun Craze. I cut the flowers out using the First Frost dies. From there, I stamped the sentiment from Abstract impressions in Chocolate Chip ink onto a scrap of wood-grained paper from the Wood Textures DSP. Then I cut some little branches from both the copper and merlot Joyous Noel 6 by 6″ Glimmer Paper. Finally, I started building my bouquet, using Stampin’ Dimensionals and SNAIL Adhesive. So fun, and you can do whatever you want to!

Going Down the Country Lane Again!

This Country Lane Suite from the new 2018 Holiday Catalog is just scrumptious. ORDERING BEGINS ON SEPTEMBER 5! ARE YOU READY? YAY! The beautiful blends of Mint Macaron, Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake, and Whisper White are so on trend. And look at the cotton elements — LOVE!

I started with a card base of Mint Macaron and added a 2-inch strip of the Country Lane Designer Series Paper in the cotton plant design. I adore this! Under that, I adhered a small strip of the wood grain design from the same collection of papers.

I stamped the pitcher and bouquet onto the largest of the oval Stitched Shaped Framelits. I then used my Cajun Craze and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends, along with my Aqua Painter (for the Mint Macaron) to color in some of the bouquet elements. I used Smoky Slate blends for the pitcher.

I cut out a section of the very cool Chicken Wire Elements and mounted behind the oval. The Mint Macaron bow is the Nature’s Twine set, which I LOVE! Don’t you find it so easy that Stampin’ Up! coordinates EVERYTHING?

The sentiment is from the First Frost stamp set, and punched with the Triple Banner Punch, then popped up with some Dimensionals. And DONE! I love everything about this card!
