There’s a brand new bundle out from Stampin’ Up! called “Warm Welcome.” It features a door and all kinds of options for creating a scene for an entryway, either an interior or exterior. The coordinating dies allow you to cut out a welcome mat, a sign, a cute kitty, a floral bouquet, and much more. Here’s the first card I created for our Stampin’ Club!

It all starts with a card base from a great set of cards and envelopes: The Texture Chic Memories and More Cards & Envelopes. Love these for so many different occasions. The strip across the bottom is about 3/4 inches by 6 1/4″. I simply adhered that to the bottom to create a floor.

I built my scene by using the Warm Welcome Dies and stamping: All the ink is Soft Suede. I stamped a door on Crumb Cake, the Welcome sentiment on Soft Succulent, and the bouquet on Basic White cardstock. I cut them all out with coordinating dies, along with a Silver Foil metallic sign holder – cute!

I colored the bouquet with Stampin’ Blends, and cut if off from the ‘hand’ holding it in the stamp — an idea I got from Patty Bennett! I stamped the sentiment (and the cute kitty!) on a piece of Pale Papaya cardstock, cut it using the die, and placed it behind the door.

I then popped the door and the sign up with Stampin’ Dimensionals, along with the Welcome sign and the flower pot. That was it! I love this bundle so much, and it has so many possibilities!

We have our first grandchild coming, and we have been told his name will be Ted/Theodore/Teddy…no matter what they call him, we know he’ll be perfect! I made this card for the upcoming baby shower with this cute BEAR front and center!

I started with a Mossy Meadow card base, and then ran a panel of Basic White cardstock through my Cut & Emboss Machine with the Aspen Tree Die. I ran the Aspen die piece through my Cut & Emboss machine with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder to give it a ‘wood grain’ texture. I then added some highlights to the white trees with a Crumb Cake Light Stampin’ Blend marker to add some dimension.

To bring some color to the background, so I used the one of the designs from the very ‘foresty’ Happy Forest Friends Designer Series Papers. I cut it just wide enough to cover all the holes, and then added a panel of Vellum Cards Stock on top of the patterned paper to give it some softness, and then adhered it to the back of the died white piece. I adhered the entire white panel to the card base.

I used the darling sheet of Happy Forest animals (from the DSP set) and cut out a cute bear with a scissors, as well as a little own. I cut out a circle die from the Stylish Shapes dies in Calypso Coral, and then used white embossing powder to heat emboss the sentiment from the Happy and Heartfelt stamp set that says “Hey, Baby!” So fun!

Finally, I popped the owl and the little bear up onto the card front, and added some Faceted Gems. I can’t wait to see our own little Teddy!

The dies from this bundle include some embossed leaves, a pretty branch for the bird to sit on, AND the aspen tree framed die, which I adore (and used in the making of this card)!

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!

This month, the theme is Focus on the Sentiment. Our Design Team are showcasing a sentiment as the focal point of their project. We really hope that you will be inspired by all the amazing creations the Pals share with you! As you hop from blog to blog, we would love for you to leave a comment. You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

I chose a beautiful sentiment from the Perched in a Tree bundle, found in the Stampin’ Up! July-December Mini Catalog.

I love everything about this bundle, appropriate for year-round use. The sentiment I chose — “No matter the season, I am here for you” — is just so fitting, no matter what season you are sending a card! I started with an A2 base of Mossy Meadow. I then cut a Basic White panel at 5 3/8″ by 4 1/8″ and cut it out with the Aspen Tree Die. I used a Light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blend Alcohol Marker to draw some accents on the sides and ‘notches’ of the tree trunks. Finally, I ran the died piece through my cut and emboss machine inside the Timber 3D Embossing Folder.

Behind the cut out aspen piece, I adhered two panels. I started with a 4″ by 5 1/4″ panel of Designer Series Papers from the Celebrate Everything set, which is a host set from the July-December Mini Catalog. I love the modern leaf pattern! On top of the DSP, I adhered a panel of Vellum Cardstock of the same size to mute the DSP a little. I then adhered the cut tree piece to the top of those two panels, and then adhered to the Mossy Meadow card base.

I then used the retired Subtle Embossing Folder to emboss a leaf from the Leaf Label and Amber Gem Combo Pack. On a scrap of Basic White Card Stock, I embossed the beautiful sentiment in Gold Emboss Powder, and cut it out, angling the ends. I cut a slice of Gold Shimmer Ribbon, shredded the end, adhered it to the back of the sentiment piece, and then popped it up using Stampin’ Dimensional. I finished with some gold toned Festive Pearls and I was done!

This bundle has other beautiful sentiments, too, don’t you agree? And I love the mix of fonts as well.

We recently had a virtual group meeting with the Stampin’ Pals, and Pal Beth McCollough at stampingmom.com taught us how to make this cute fun fold, called a Double Step Card. Here’s mine!

How fun, huh? Here is the link to Beth’s blog that will give you the template you need to reproduce this fun layout. https://stampingmom.com/double-step-card-directions-more/. I used a Crumb Cake base, and then utilized the FUN FUN Storybook Gnomes bundle to make my card. Here’s a side view:

The background paper is from the Storybook Gnomes Designer Series papers. The designs include snowflakes and winter backgrounds, as well as some gnome and wildlife scenes. They also include two sheets of various gnomes that will cut out using the dies in the bundles. OH — and mushrooms, too! OR you can stamp and color your own gnomes and then cut them out using the dies. Super CUTE!!

Here are the papers:

I used a Wonderful Snowflake embellishment to back the two gnomes that were cut from the designer series papers. I used a scrap of Bermuda Bay card stock to cut out a Deckled Rectangle die shape, on which I heat embossed a sentiment with white embossing powder. The embellishments are also part of the Suite Collection! Here’s what the inside of the card looks like. Love that little gnome guy!

How do I begin describing these fun gnomes? They are cute for every season, and will become a staple in many craft rooms. I would recommend getting the entire Suite Collection, and do it sooner than later, because these won’t be around forever!

The Storybook Gnomes are a SENSATION, so consider adding them to your stash while they’re still in stock. All the products used to make this card are found below.
