There is a new stamp set in the July-December Mini Catalog called Soft Seedlings. This set will work from late summer into Autumn, and I just love the watercolor-y, etched look of the set. Here’s my card:

Take a look at this beautiful stamp set:

The card starts with a card base from the Soft Seafoam & Pool Party Cards & Envelopes; unfortunately, this lovely card set is sold out, but you can re-create with a card base of Pool Party, perhaps with a floral pattern stamped on it. I then cut a strip of Soft Sea Foam card stock at 4 1/4″ by 2″. I embossed it with the new Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder. I then adhered that to the card base a little lower than halfway down.

Here’s the new Embossing Folder — think of the possibilities for your Fall holiday crafting!

I cut a panel of Basic White card stock with a die from the Scalloped Contours dies. Using the large leaf stamp, I stamped lightly in the Soft Sea Foam ink. I then took a sponge dauber and daubed lightly with some Pool Party ink from the ink pad. I THEN stamped onto the white panel.

I popped the white panel onto the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I then took a scrap of Soft Sea Foam and stamped it with a sentiment from the Soft Seedlings stamp set with Old Olive ink. I snipped diagonal cuts on each side and attached it to the card.

I then added a few retired Adhesive Sequins to the card to add a little bling! I also made the card in a horizontal fashion:

Step It Up

This week we made some stunning cards using the Hippest Hippos Stamp Set. If you like what you see, browse the Sale-A-Bration brochure for stamp sets and much more, available now until the end of August! CASUAL We kept our first card simple—we started with Petal Pink Cardstock and layered some Subtles Designer Series Paper on top. Then we stamped our hippo image on Smokey Slate Cardstock and finished with some white Baker’s Twine. AVID We stepped up our second card with another textured layer using the Hive 3D Embossing Folder. We also added more color to our hippo using Watercolor Pencils. We finished with white Baker’s Twine that we colored with Mint Macaron Stampin’ Blends. ARTFULLY AVID For our third card we used a Blending Brush to add Calypso Coral ink to the Petal Pink Cardstock before we embossed it. We finished this card with a few dazzling embellishments—we love the way the gold complemented the Petal Pink and added just the right amount of sparkle.

I had a chance to play with the beautiful Rustic Harvest Designer Series Papers from the July-December 2022 Mini Catalog. The papers provide beautiful, rich colors of late summer and fall, like this tag card.

I started with a card base of Basic White, measuring 8 1/2″ by 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″. I adhered a layer of one of the beautiful papers, cut at 4″ by 5 1/4″. These papers are so rich and pretty — the black and white accents add a bit of drama, and I just love the pumpkin and chrysanthemum images.

I then cut out two tags from the Tailor Made Tags dies — one in white and the floral pattern. I stamped the “Just for You” sentiment from the new Soft Seedlings stamp set, and then ran the white tag through my cut and emboss machine in the new Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder. It’s so gorgeous!

I strung some baker’s twine and Mossy Meadow Braided Trim, both retired, into the top of the tag, and then attached them to the card. I finished with some Amber Gems, and I was done!

It’s amazing to play with the Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Papers, and even better when they’re FREE! The Rings of Love Designer Series Papers are 12 pages of beautiful 12″ by 12″ papers offered now, during Sale-A-Bration. Look at the fun seasonal designs with a watercolor feel:

To CASE Yvonne’s card, I simply started fussy cutting designs out of the page that is on the top third from the left!

I started with a Basic White card base, and added a panel from one of the paper designs in the set. I then started adhering layers of the house scenes, some popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals, to make the cute little vignette. I added a sentiment from a retired stamp set called “Life is Beautiful” and punched out the sentiment and a Night of Navy scrap with the Double Oval Punch. I finished off with some Iridescent Rhinestones. Thanks again, Yvonne, for a fun card!

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!

This month, the theme is Create Your Own Background. We really hope that you will be inspired by all the amazing creations the Pals are sharing with you! As you hop from blog to blog, we would love for you to leave a comment. You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

My card today uses a card base from the Pool Party & Soft Sea Foam Cards and Envelopes, FREE during Sale-A-Bration with a $50 purchase. How fun it that? I love these colors together!

To create this pretty fern background, I have employed a technique using the Fern 3D Embossing Folder and a Soft Sea Foam ink pad on a Basic White panel of card stock. I took the ink pad, and lightly inked the inside of the Embossing Folder on the side with the Stampin’ Up! logo. I then carefully added a panel of Basic White card stock measuring 5 1/4″ by 4″ into the inside of the folder. I ran it through the Cut & Emboss Machine.

I then adhered the fern background panel to the front of the card base. Next I cut out both sizes of the butterfly from the Build a Butterfly dies, one in Pool Party and one in Bermuda Bay. I then added the Pool Party wing parts to the other butterfly, using a piece of washi tape on the back to keep the little pieces in place.

I cut out two sentiment panels from the Beautiful Shapes dies, one in Pool Party, and one using an envelope from the Cards & Envelopes set. I simply cut it apart at the seams and used the beautiful pattern on the inside. I stamped a sentiment onto the patterned piece in Bermuda Bay, and then used Versamark and Clear Embossing Powder to heat emboss over the ink.

I cut a length of White Frayed Ribbon and frayed both ends. I adhered the ribbon to the card, and then offset the two sentiment layers and attached top and bottom with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I finished with a few Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels. Such a soft and pretty color combo! I hope you enjoyed my card. All the products I used to create this project can be found at the bottom of this post.
