Pals Blog Hop: It’s a Birthday Bash!

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month, the theme is Birthday Bash. We really hope that you’ll be inspired by them! As you hop from blog to blog, we would appreciate your comments, because we enjoy hearing from you. You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

My birthday card was created using the beautiful Heart & Home Suite Collection, and will go to my lovely daughter-in-law this week!

I started with a card and envelope from the Heart & Home Memories and More Cards & Envelopes. I cut out a rectangle on the top of the card from the Rectangle Stitched Dies. Behind it, I cut a rectangle from the Heart & Home Designer Series Papers and put the panel behind the open part of the frame using Foam Adhesive Strips all around the frame. I love the 3D effect it gives the frame!

The sentiment was cut from a small piece of Fresh Freesia card stock and the Beautiful Shapes Dies. I stamped a sentiment from the Sale-A-Bration stamp set called Special Moments in Misty Moonlight. I then stamped a flower image from the Blessings of Home stamp set on a Basic White scrap in Misty Moonlight. I colored the little bouquet with Stampin’ Blends and cropped it out using a die.

I then used glue dots to place the bouquet on the card, followed by a length of White Frayed Ribbon, and then the sentiment piece. I then tied a double bow of linen thread and popped on a couple of 2022-23 In-Color Jewels.

The Heart & Home Memories and More Cards and Envelopes take all the work out of it! The coordinating cards and envelopes make it quick and easy to create a project, and the colors and patterns are so lovely!

I hope you like my project — the products used in this card can be found below — just click to start shopping! More inspiration awaits, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team. The Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Then, please mark your calendars for our next blog hop on March 9th. Our theme will be Cute Critters where our Design Team creates a project with any kind of animals, birds, butterflies or insects. Until then, have fun in your craft space!

The Beauty of a Calming Camellia

Yesterday, I introduced the Calming Camellia Host Stamp Set to you as one of my all-time favorites. Here’s another project I created using the Calming Camellia stamp set with Flirty Flamingo and Grey Granite:

The Calming Camellia Host stamp set has two larger stamps that create a beautiful effect. Every time I see someone use it, they have the same reaction I did – oohs and aaaahs accompany the placement of ink on paper. Here’s the set. Notice I used the ‘leafy’ die this time, instead of the large flower stamp:

The Calming Camellia Host Stamp Set is another staple for your cardmaking stamp collection! The blurred lines of the artwork have a soft elegance, which makes this stamp set perfect for creating cards to send to your loved ones of all ages. The range of sentiments paired with a timeless font are highly versatile. And ooooh so pretty!

I used a Basic White card base, and then a panel of Flirty Flamingo just 1/8″ smaller at 5 3/8″ by 4 1/8″. Then I took a panel of Grey Granite, embossed with the Timeworn Type embossing Folder, measured at 5 1/4″ by 4″. I then used a panel of Basic White cardstock to crop out a die from the Scalloped Contours dies, and stamped a pretty sentiment in Gray Granite, and the around it, stamped the leaf pattern pattern in Flirty Flamingo ink. I flipped the white panel over, put some tape adhesive down, and then arranged some white baker’s twin so it would loop off both sides. I popped it up using Stampin’ Dimensionals, and then a couple of Iridescent Jewels to finish the card!

The Prettiest. Stamp. Ever.

There is a stamp set from the 2022 January-June Mini Catalog that could arguably be the loveliest set I’ve seen, and it will surely become a collector’s item. Here’s project I created using the Calming Camellia stamp set with Flirty Flamingo and Grey Granite:

The Calming Camellia Host stamp set has two larger stamps that create a beautiful effect. Every time I see someone use it, they have the same reaction I did – oohs and aaaahs accompany the placement of ink on paper. Here’s the set:

The Calming Camellia Host Stamp Set is another staple for your cardmaking stamp collection! The blurred lines of the artwork have a soft elegance, which makes this stamp set perfect for creating cards to send to your loved ones of all ages. The range of sentiments paired with a timeless font are highly versatile. Simply stamp the beautiful camellia image in a single color for a subtle touch or make an impact by stamping the image in black and adding your own color story to it.

I used a Basic White card base, and then a panel of Grey Granite, embossed with the Timeworn Type embossing Folder, measured at 5 1/4″ by 4″. I then used a panel of Basic White cardstock to crop out a die from the Scalloped Contours dies, and stamped a large camellia pattern in Flirty Flamingo ink. I also stamped a sentiment from the Happy & Heartfelt stamp set onto a scrap of white with Grey Granite, and cut that out with a smaller die. From there, it was easy to assemble, adhere, and then pop a couple of Iridescent Jewels to finish the card!

The fact that this is a HOST Stamp Set means you can get this stamp set with a $300 purchase. Don’t despair — there are many ways to achieve this! 1. Red-Tipped Tulips to Conclude Tulip Week!

I know. I must move on from all these tulips! I’ve been featuring the Flowering Tulips bundle all week, and yes, this is my last card, at least for awhile. But they’ll be back for Easter, I guarantee it!

This card used a special card base from the Abstract Beauty Cards and Envelopes, which is a set of beautiful cards with watercolor backgrounds and coordinating envelopes. So easy to grab one and get started with you card. Here they are:

Abstract Beauty Cards & Envelopes

My first job was to create some tulips, which I did, using the Tulips dies with Pale Papaya paper. I cut out the petals needs for all three sizes of tulips. I also cut out some leaves using Old Olive cardstock and the Flowering Fields Designer Series Paper. The assembly of the tulips is quite easy, once you get the hang of it. I watched a tutorial online, and really enjoyed putting the three different-sized tulips together. I took a sponge dauber and some Poppy Parade ink, and lightly sponged the ends of the petals of the Pale Papaya flowers. I like the effect it made, giving them more dimension and a tough of color! Take a look at this brief video by Stampin’ Up! that explains how to put them together. Click here: https://fb.watch/aQrdJas1la/

I then stamped one of the sentiments from the stamp set with Poppy Parade ink on a scrap of Basic White cardstock. I cut it out using one of the circle dies from the Beautiful Shapes Dies. I popped the sentiment up on the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I finished with some red embellishments and a double bow from some red baker’s twine that I had in my stash, and I was done! Such fun!

Take a look at this fun video to give you an even better overview of the beautiful Flowering Fields Suite!

I hope you enjoyed my card today. Give the tulips a try — you’ll use them over and over again! Click on any products below to shop with me!

Tulip Week Continues!

Hello, friends — My focus on the beautiful products in the Flowering Fields Suite continues today with the stamp set Flowering Tulips.

First, I cut a card base from Basic White cardstock. I then cut a panel Rich Razzleberry cardstock at 5 1/4″ x 4″. The next panel of Flowering Fields Designer Series Paper was cut at 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″. The panel of Whisper White was cut from one of the Scalloped Contours Dies. I then did some stamping using the beautiful Flowering Tulips two-step stamps.

I used Rich Razzleberry ink to stamp the two-step stamps. The first in full color, and then the second overlaying stamp in a stamped-off fashion. That way, the color looks lighter, but is in the same tones. I stamped the leaves in Garden Green. Take a look at these beautiful images and sentiments:

Finally, I added some white baker’s twine and Highland Heather baker’s twine from a Paper Pumpkin kit, tied together. Then I popped the Contour Die panel onto the card. I then added some Iridescent Jewels to add a little bling, and I was done!

Take a look at this fun video to give you an even better overview of the beautiful Flowering Fields Suite!

I just love the Rich Razzleberry tones!

Swirls of Tulips!

Hello, Stampers! It’s a sunny day here in northern Minnesota. Even though it’s cold outside, the sun through the windows brings some heat. Spring is aaaalllllllmost around the corner. This week, I continue to share cards made with the Flowering Tulips bundle.

First, I cut a card base from Basic White cardstock. I then cut a panel Basic Black cardstock at 5 1/4″ x 4″ from one of the DSP papers. I cut another panel from the Pattern Party Designer Series Paper (found as a host set in the annual catalog) to 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8.” The next layer was in Basic White cardstock, cropped from the Scalloped Contours dies on which I then began to build my tulip bouquet.

I used the Simply Marbleous Designer Series Papers from the Sale-A-Bration brochure. The papers are so fun, and come in 6 x 6″ sheets. I cut out the pieces to make three tulips, and also some leaves and stems from Old Olive cardstock.

The assembly of the tulips is quite easy, once you get the hang of it. I watched a tutorial online, and really enjoyed putting the three different-sized tulips together. Take a look at this brief video by Sandy McCullough, who explains it so well!

I then stamped a sentiment from the Flowering Tulips stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto a scrap of white paper and used another die from the Scalloped Contours die to cut it out. I popped it up on the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I finished with some Iridescent Jewels, and I was done! Such fun!

Take a look at this fun video to give you an even better overview of the beautiful Flowering Fields Suite!

Flowering Fields in Rich Razzleberry

Hello, friends — we have a windy Wednesday going on, and the snow on the ground is blowing around. I’m planning on staying inside! How is the weather in your neck of the woods? This week I continue to show you a few projects from the new Flowering Tulips bundle. My card today features the beautiful Flowering Fields Designer Series Papers and the stamp set Flowering Tulips.

First, I cut a card base from Basic White cardstock. I then cut a panel Rich Razzleberry cardstock at 5 1/4″ x 4″. The two panels of Flowering Fields Designer Series Papers were cut at about 2 1/4 x 4 1/2, and 2″ by 4″. You can make them as wide and long as you’d like, depending on how much pattern you want on the card front. Before adhering those two panels in place, I used a Heart & Home doily, flipped over, so it’s showing its white side. I cut it in half, and tucked it under a panel, then adhered all to the card front.

I used the Flowering Tulips stamp set to stamp a sentiment on a white scrap of cardstock. I cropped it using a circle-shaped die from the Beautiful Shapes Dies and popped it up onto the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals. These dies are so great, and will be a staple in my craft room. Check out these cool shapes, including the hexagons – yay!

I finished the card with a double bow from white baker’s twins and some new Iridescent Jewels. I just love the Rich Razzleberry tones!

Take a look at this fun video to give you an even better overview of the beautiful Flowering Fields Suite!

Beautiful Tulips for a Mystery Card

We had a Mystery Stamping Weekend over at the Up North Stampin’ Gang Facebook page, and we had so much fun! Lots of great cards, and I love how they all turn out uniquely. Here was my card, based on the instructions I gave the gang members:

I’ll simply include the photos I created with the instructions and measurements, so you can create your own version.

Supplies and Measurements!

The Flowering Fields DSP is new in the 2022 January-June Mini Catalog, and it’s so fun to work with. Both patterned papers I chose are from these 12 x 12″ papers.

Flowering Fields Designer Series Paper

The Flowering Tulips bundle provides so many options for a papercrafter. Notice that all the tulips in this card were created with just the dies and cardstock. However, if you add in the beautiful stamp set, the possibilities are numerous! Such fun for spring and Easter. And the sentiments are so lovely — you’ll be using them all year!

Flowering Tulips Bundle

The Special Moments stamp set, from which I chose my sentiment, is a Sale-A-Bration free item with an order of $100.

There are SO many great sentiments in this set!

Tulips & Doilies for a Pretty and Feminine Combo!

Hello, Stampers! I hope you are enjoying your Monday so far. This week is going to feature a few projects from a new bundle! I made a card today that included a pretty new doily from the Heart & Home Doilies, featuring the Flowering Tulips bundle:

First, I cut a card base from Basic White cardstock. I then cut a panel Basic Grey cardstock at 5 1/4″ x 4″ from one of the DSP papers. All the back sides of the papers are wood grains in neutrals shades of grays, black, and whites — love it! I cut the wood grain paper to 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8.” I then adhered a Basic Grey Doily toward the top of the card.

My next job was to create the tulips, and I used the Simply Marbleous Designer Series Papers from the Sale-A-Bration brochure. The papers are so fun, and come in 6 x 6″ sheets. I cut out the pieces to make three tulips, and also some leaves and stems.

The assembly of the tulips is quite easy, once you get the hang of it. I watched a tutorial online, and really enjoyed putting the three different-sized tulips together. Take a look at this brief video by Sandy McCullough, who explains it so well!

I then stamped a sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto a scrap of white paper and used a circle die from the new Beautiful Shapes dies to crop it out. I used a retired ribbon in Flirty Flamingo to add a bow, and three 2021-2023 In Color Jewels to finish it off!

Take a look at this fun video to give you an even better overview of the beautiful Flowering Fields Suite!
