We had a great night putting together our May Paper Pumpkin kits. Not only is the original very cool, with its textured Cajun Craze paper and Pool Party accents; but there are so many other possibilities with this kit. Who could resist adding some other colors to the back of this intricate die cut to see what happens? Can’t wait to see what the June Paper Pumpkin holds!!
I played the PPA#304!
The Pals Paper Arts Challenge this week involved the sketch below. I decided to try something with my brand new stamp set called “Seaside Shore.” It is from the new 2016-17 Annual Stampin’ Up! Catalog, and I can’t get enough of it. I used the sentiment and the fish from the stamp set, adding some ‘sparkle’ to both the fish with the fabulous Wink of Stella pen and some iridescent embossing powder mixed in with white embossing powder for the sentiment. The Designer Series Paper “By the Shore” constitutes the background layer as well as the the circle of cute fish swimming around. The card stock for the tag is Dapper Denim, one of the new In Colors for 2016-18. Hope you enjoy my card!

Dream Big, Graduates!
I wanted to make a special card for my Goddaughter, who graduates on Sunday. Her reception colors are lemonade pink and mint with burlap accents, so I pulled out the Mint Macaron and Pink Pirouette to create a card that would coordinate, just for fun! The sentiment is from the Stampin’ Up! stamp set “Enjoy the Little Things.” I love the pansies from the “Flower Shop” set, so it seemed like a natural choice for an accent with a beautiful gold button and linen thread. Congratulations, Noelle! Oh, and DREAM BIG!
Retiring List is Here!
It’s that time again: Stampin’ Up! is getting ready to retire stamps and accessories from both the annual and occasions catalogs. As sad as it is to see these products go, there’s still time for you to get them. Plus, retiring products* have discounts up to 50% off! Be sure to get these products before they’re gone! Pretty Petals Sympathy
I needed a sympathy card…it’s sad but gratifying to make a card for someone who is going through a difficult time. Stampin’ Up! has some beautiful coordinating Designer Series Paper that makes many different beautiful palettes. This design was inspired by Stampin’ Up! demonstrators Brian King and Sue Vine. Thanks to the Stampin’ Up! Pals, I have beautiful designs by talented crafters, right at my fingertips!
Blissful Bouquet

Birthday Botanical Brights
What a fun and bright way to say Happy Birthday to a favorite person! I used the Botanical Builder Framelits dies from Stampin’ Up! along with coordinating Botanicals vellum. The greeting is from the fantastic “Suite Sayings.” I seem to turn to this set often — lots of beautiful fonts and fun words. Pacific Point and Daffodil Delight cardstock make this a striking birthday card, or for any occasion! Amy Koenders, fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, was my inspiration. I’m feeling more bright botanical cards comin’ on…
Pals Paper Arts
It’s been a busy month, but I’m finally back and playing the Pals Paper Arts Challenge today! The Color Combination was so fun and unique that I felt compelled to give this week’s challenge a try.
My friend and co-worker here at my high school had a very close call with her daughter last week. Her little 7-year-old nearly drowned at a local waterpark. The accident has made for a tense week for her family. Her daughter looks like she’ll make a full recovery, thank goodness. This card went to her.
The stamp set used is one of my favorites, “Awesomely Artistic.” I also used the “Timeless Textures” to create some of the background texture on the card. I cut the flower bunch out by hand, and used the Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush to add some sparkle, although it’s difficult to see here. The sentiment is from the “Sassy Salutations” set, and punched using the Decorative Label Punch. The background paper, adhered over the Blushing Bride card base, was created using a sponge and Night of Navy ink on one of the embossing papers from the Project Life Sale-A-Bration products. I was completely out of navy cardstock, so had to improvise!
