At our recent Pals Online Meeting, we learned how to make custom boxes to fit specific gift items we might be giving. So fun! Tammy Beard, fellow Stampin’ Pal, did such a great job of showing us how to create these fun boxes. For example, I made this box that fits a roll or two of our Stampin’ Up! ribbons!

For this sized box, I started out with two pieces of paper — one was the Flirty Flamingo cardstock for the box base at 6″ x 6″, and one was a piece of Pattern Party Designer Series Paper for the lid, cut at 6″ x 6″. Tammy gave us a tip to cute the base a LITTLE short of 6″ on each side, in order for the lid of the box to fit better.

Notice Tammy’s measurements below – both squares were scored at 1″ on all sides.

Then some slits were cut on two sides, opposite of each other, only one-inch cuts up to the next scoreline. Here is a graphic — the dark lines are scissor cuts.

From there, you just fold and burnish at all the score lines and use a strong adhesive to tape the small corner flaps inside the side flaps. So easy! Then I had fun decorating with flowers cut from the Pierced Blooms Dies, one of my favorite die sets! Fun — who would want this little box with a goodie inside?

As one of the sentiments in the Pansy Patch Stamp Set says, “The little things you do make a big difference.” That can be true in life—and when sitting down to create a fabulous card for someone special. All the little details and love put into making your card can add up to one big hug that will make someone’s day!

Well, it doesn’t matter if you’re a CASUAL, AVID, or ARTFULLY AVID stamper — the Pansy Patch Bundle can create a fun and beautiful card for so many purposes! And if you haven’t stamped before, start simple with a bundle and a few supplies! Here’s a fun example of the three levels of papercrafting:

Pansy Patch Step-by-Step

Thank You Card (4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″)

CASUAL

To begin creating our lovely Besten Dank Pansy Patch step-ups, start simple. Fold Polished Pink Cardstock in half; add a layer of stamped Basic White Cardstock to the card front, then layer with just a few die-cut images. Notice that our artist used a Blending Brush to add subtle shading to the die-cut pansy bud. Easy to do. Fast. Fun!

AVID We stepped up our Thank You card with tone-on-tone stamping and pops of gold for extra pizzazz. We also used a Bone Folder to curl the flower petals and give them extra dimension.

ARTFULLY AVID To create our Mille mercis card, apply Granny Apple Green ink to the Basic White Cardstock layer using a Blending Brush, then run it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. Also, did you notice the pretty Baker’s Twine? We colored it with Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends to make it really stand out!

Stampin’ Up!’s Whisper White Notecards and Envelopes provide a quick and easy way to send a little day brightener to anyone who needs it. In this project, the Flowering Fields take the spotlight with some bright accents from Poppy Parade and Granny Apple Green card stock.

I started with a Whisper White notecard. I then cut a panel of Granny Apple Green at 3 3/8″ x 4 7/8″ and adhered to the card front. I cut a small panel of Poppy Parade at 3 1/2″ x 1″ and a panel of DSP at 2″ x 4″. Actually, you can make the panels as big or small as you want to!

I then stamped a sentiment from the Sweet as a Peach stamp set with Versamark onto a scrap of Basic Black cardstock, and sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, then heat embossed it. I trimmed around the sentiment and adhered it to the front of the notecard. Finally, I added a couple of retired jewels to add a little bling!

The Flowering Fields Designer Series Papers are so pretty — I love the tulips for spring! Such bright and colorful patterns!

I finally had the time to make my first card using the Ladybug Builder Punch today!

The punch makes it so easy! I punched the ladybug body from Basic Black cardstock. I then punched out two sets of wings — one from the Supple Shimmer papers and one from a sheet of Abstract Beauty Designer Series Papers. I used glue dots to attached two layers of wings onto each ladybug.

The card comes together quickly! Here are the measurements:

• Basic White Card Base: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4
• Embossed So Saffron panel, 5 1/4″ x 4″ using Timeworn Type 3D Embossing folder
• DSP: Cut from the largest circle of the Beautiful Shapes Dies
• Bough Punch: Two sets of leaves cut from the Soft Seafoam card stock
• Sentiment: Heat embossed on a Basic Black scrap using White Embossing Powder

I love the little touches of black in this card – it really makes the rest of the colors pop! Love these ladybugs, and a punch is always my favorite!

At a recent Pals Online Get-Together a fellow pal showed us this sweet little rainbow notecard using the FREE Sale-A-Bration Designer Series Papers, available for only five more days! Here is my take on Patti MacLeith’s notecard — who wouldn’t want to receive this little day brightener?

I started with a Whisper White notecard. I used the Scalloped Contours Dies to cut out a Magenta Madness scalloped panel, and adhered it to the notecard. Then I used a sheet of the 6 x 6″ Sunshine & Rainbows and cut all the little rainbows out separately, using my Stampin’ Trimmer. I popped one of the rainbows up onto the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals. That’s right — no stamping, just a darling rainbow, and you’ll be able to make many cards from just one sheet of DSP!

I then stamped a sentiment from the Sweet as a Peach stamp set with Versamark onto a scrap of Basic Black cardstock, and sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, then heat embossed it. I trimmed around the sentiment and adhered it to the front of the notecard. Finally, I added a couple of 2021-23 in Color Jewels to add a little bling!

The best part: They’re FREE with a $100 purchase of any Stampin’ Up! Products from either of our current catalogs! Here are some cards I made, thanks to a CASE of Crafty Cards with Amanda. I loved her design so much, I just had to re-create it, in three different color combinations!

The cards were all put together the same way — here are the measurements:

• Card Base: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4
• Basic Black card stock: 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″
• DSP: 3 1/4″ x 4 1/2″
• Strip of DSP: 1″ x 4 1/4″

The tags are made from the DSP and a scrap of Basic White cardstock using the largest of the Tailor Made Tags Dies. I stamped the bird image with Tuxedo Black Ink and then colored just a little with the Stampin’ Blends. So fun!
